Fitzroy smashed Therry with about 14 senior players out....no Bannisters for Therry, except the on who is about 56 who played in the 2s....From all reports the Roys will be strong.
Also, heard that PEGS won comfortably over Marcellin to the tune of about 10 goals....is BigBoy trying to keep a lid on things??? Reports are that they are very happy with whom they've picked up - with a VFL premiership player heading the list....
Haha must have got some bad mail Mounzer.. I wasn't at the game but was advised results were 1-2 goals to PEGS. I am sure both teams had a fair chunk out.Hard to read a lot into these early games. The D grade premiers have lost a club champion in Skurrie who has retired and young gun Tyler to local coin. On the flip side have picked up some young handy players.
Fitzroy had a lot of injuries last year and won a solid number of games in B despite being relegated, no doubt that they are the team to beat.

No real injuries was the winner on the day.
Well, in 2018 we find ourselves back, once again, in Premier C. As this would be my 8th consecutive year of managing footy tips on BigFooty (the 4th in Pemier C), I'm happy to do them again unless someone else wants a try.
The Forums I have been involved with in the past adopted the rule of lowest tipping score of the round applied to any tipster who did not submit their tips prior to the starting time of the earliest game of the round. Secondly, a draw allocated a point to either team.
That being said, my Round 1 Tips are:
Fitzroy vs Old Mentonians
Old Geelong vs Marcellin
Williamstown vs Old Camberwell
PEGS vs St Mary's Salesian
Peninsula vs Old Ivanhoe

I hear a couple of your gun players have joined Melb High to play in the 3rds there. Is this true?

All the best for the season. We did have a few players depart for MHOB last year who were not getting a regular game.
It would have been quite a stretch to call them gun players.
Southam and Grigg?? I thought they were regular senior players?
All the best to the Pirates mate. Where are they playing the home games this year?
Both have been senior players but work commitments now prevent regular training.
Hopefully, Mounzer, all home games will be at the School, however, the School has changed its mind without much notice in the past.
Anyone else submitting tips???
