Very impressive by Ajax wow!

Wouldn’t say it’s impressive at all. More concerning that they’ve kept playing the same players and are sitting 2/6. Most teams with that record would have either suffered through injury or looked to promote players in form from the reserves.

Their reserves win/loss is no better so that suggests there doesn’t seem to be much scope for dropping poor performing players if the quality in the 2s is similarly ordinary.

Might just show how much “Chocko”destroyed the club .

Horrible finish to the last quarter at the Gunn , 10 mins in Ormond's Alistair McCooke broke his leg and the game called off. Well done to Marcellin they were fantastic , in the game and after what happened. Also 2 umpires that were very good .
Awful news.

Why so many bad injuries in 2019?

Mazenod have finally woken up.

Where is the improvement come from at Mazenod Max, or are you like us decimated by injuries.
They has some strong bodies, but absolutely hamstrung with injuries. Speaking to them yesterday, they are starting to get some of their early season injuries back.

We have relied on Under 19 players to keep the team bubbling, but they can get tired.

We are not on our own.

No your not . Our 2's have been good for a few seasons but got belted yesterday which doesn't happen too often. The next break can't come quick enough , no pun intended.

It was shocking Bedders! I was there, near Tony Jones when it happened, saw the leg, heard the cries - terrible. Thanks for acknowledging Marcellin response. We all felt sick for Alistair (played against his dad!) and as a club Marcellin have had 5 of those over last 5 years (my young bloke one of them last year - he said he heard the scream and couldn't look back because he knew what it was) so walking off the ground I know the boys didn't want to sing the song and show some respect for the situation. Umps were great too as you mentioned, it was a sobering time post game. Congrats to Ash Viney 200 games chaired off quietly after game.

I thought it was a terrific game, perhaps if Ormond kicked straight early it might have been closer but to Marcellin's credit they hung in there despite losing Reece McKenzie in second quarter to compound fracture of finger requiring the first trip to hospital for the day. Marcellin finally had a few back but still missing top 3 from B&F last year - as mentioned in other posts, injuries causing havoc for teams, so U19 depth is helping some teams no doubt. Overseas travel is the other factor.

As a side note - watched young Hardwick after seeing Dimma walking his dog around the ground, geez he runs exactly the same way his old man used to run - uncanny!
