Hampton people told me yesterday they couldn't ever recall winning at the Pine Lodge. Should have had it won a lot earlier than they did though.
HR are very good.
OI’s only chance was squandered in the 1st 10 minutes. Had HR on the back foot and should have kicked at least 4 goals. After that, HR controlled the game.

Deserved their win and will trouble most teams this year.

Your probably right , but they and Parkdale have affected the whole structure of B and C , thoughts on the facts ?
To avoid prolonging an irrelevant discussion, let’s be clear that the facts are:
  • Four clubs were offered the opportunity to seek promotion to Prem B.
  • The aggregate score in games between the ”first” and “third” senior teams in Prem C 2021 was 16.21 to 15.19.

Anything beyond that is speculation and opinion.

Bedford’s outrage continues, and it is bizarre. OG lost one game more game than Monash and had undefeated reserves. Monash lost to Ormond. The only Club that insisted on moving was Parkdale and yet Monash are selfish. Hilarious! Long may his frustration continue.
Lining up as a great comp this year. Ashes did not have it all their own way against UHS. Hampton clearly a handy team. Bring it on. Wish the country leagues were playing Easter Saturday - great Easter entertainment.

Its hard to make predictions 2 rounds in, but that's what BF is for, so here goes.
Based on results so far for 1s and 2s i think we will have 4 groupings in Prem C. Group 2 and 3 could probably collapse into 1 group

Those that will make finals:-
Monash

Those that will probably make finals
Hampton
Ormond

Those that might make finals
Old Ivanhoe
Mazenod
Old Geelong
Marcellin??

Those who wont make finals
Parkdale
Old Mentonians
Uni High
Preston

But having said that, i think most sides are down on numbers from last year, and injuries and new covid variants could have a larger say than ever. I do believe by round 9 or 10, there will be more sides battling relegation than fighting for final spots

Good try , who knows , but credit having a crack

Not a bag effort here.

Let's not forget Hampton were 4-1 last year and completely melted. Depth to be tested in an extra long season. I would be surprised if by round 12 they are still above OI and OG.

Don't rule out Parkdale either. They are young, but could easily have beaten Ormond at the Gunn last week. I would expect they will push for finals.

Marcellin have lost a lot of talent. Good win on the weekend, but they won't make finals.

I think Ormond have a few to come back, but will be interesting to see if they continue to score as well as they have been without a key forawrd on the list.

I would revise:

Will
Monash

Should
Ormond

Might
OI
Old Geelong
Hampton
Parkdale
Mazenod

Won't
Marcellin
OM
UHS
Preston

Great day of suburban footy at Preston. My boys bigger, stronger and more talented than the hosts but they had a serious crack early. The first quarter went for 40 minutes which was real weird! Big game next week Monash vs Hampton.
