Murray has looked solid in the preseason, whereas Butts has not been convincing.

Butts has been fine. He's been more attacking and his kicking is quite good. He rarely tries to bite of more than he can chew.

It’s more like we didn’t have a choice. After we turfed Talia, the cupboard was looking quite bare and had to make do. We’re lucky Butts had developed the way he did and the getting in Murray for peanuts.

What’s fickle is having a preseason of match sim and a trial game override years of actual game day performance. It’s been a very long time since Milera looked like he was going to be anything but a role player. He was awful last year. Hopefully it comes back to him, but if you’re basing anything on his preseason form then you’re barking up the wrong tree.

Hopefully it comes back to him, but if you’re basing anything on his preseason form then you’re barking up the wrong tree.

Sure, he has shown moments of utter brilliance here and there but he’s just never consistently put it all together and become the dangerous player we all hoped he would.
