Nah Gavin Bell has said Archer Reid is the tallest on the list. Seeing them up close he has Edwards covered for sure
It's just not possible for him to have a head that large and be shorter. 😂

Seriously though, he seems to have everyone else covered and is taller than the WCE listed 200cm (wiki updated to 204cm)

Possible Archer is even taller than that now though

Not only is Archer Reid the tallest player on the list, he's supposedly the tallest player in the WAFL, according to comments the commentators made a couple of times when he was playing.

As a group, the talks are quite difficult to distinguish- Edwards, J Williams, Reid, Barnett, Livingstone and now Brock are all roughly the same height and not dissimilar builds. That most of them regularly wear caps makes it harder. At least Brock kicks in his left so can be picked out that way

Flynn is thicker set and Bailey doesn’t usually were a hat so his ginger/shaved head is easier to pick out

Geez, and he's the one that should be wearing a hat.

This is a good thing our players are going down with injuries it just shows the intensity is high. Maybe the new coach is pushing them harder than they have been pushed before. We may actually start a season fit
There's injuries every preseason regardless

Ok, so it’s that time of year where the club inevitably release a video that someone is tearing up the track (bonus points if it’s a bunch of testimonials from other players).

It was Culley for a couple years there, Waterman last year from memory… and although we all know it’s actually Ginbey - they are likely to pluck someone else for this. My gut feeling is Hewett next up but they might not want to jinx it with him. My best guess is Hally.

Who you got?
Baker

Just updating to the actual players on the list would be a good start
Sorry to intrude, totally agree, but I think it's an AFL thing that they like to control the Clubs websites......and they will update all players lists when it suits them...our list hasn't been updated either, and I'm pretty sure you'll find none of the Clubs playing lists have been updated..

It is the AFL. Further proof of just how inept they are.

WEST COAST EAGLES

B: T.Cole, H.Edwards, B.Hough
HB: R. Ginbey, J.McGovern, L.Baker
C: L.Duggan, E.Yeo, J. Hunt
HF: J.Graham, J.Waterman, L.Ryan
F: M.Owies, O.Allen, J.Cripps
FOLL: B.Williams, T.Kelly, H.Reid
I/C: J.Williams, B.Allan, R. Maric, E.Hewett, J.Petruccelle
EMG: J.Shanahan, N. Long, J. Hutchinson

It’s somewhat of a fresh start for the Eagles under new coach Andrew McQualter and things are looking up.Liam Baker will be a superb addition given his leadership and versatility, while Jack Graham will add a seasoned body around the contest. Ex-Blue Matt Owies will be a handful for opposition defences, while young gun Bo Allan is likely to have an impact early on in the season. Reuben Ginbey has been slated for a defensive role, as has Ryan Maric, which means there could be a shuffling down back. Bailey Williams has been preferred over Matt Flynn, while Campbell Chesser, Noah Long, Dom Sheed and Tyler Brockman are also around the mark. Tom Cole and Jack Petruccelle are players who have been around for a while now, but could be squeezed out if McQualter chooses to blood some kids. Draftee Jobe Shanahanprobably spends some time in the WAFL, so too Tom Gross and Lucca Grego

Fox sports having a crack. I’d have Flynn, Hall and Hutch ahead of Bwilliams, Hunt and Petch. Cole, Allan and Cripps on notice for Johnson, Chesser and Long.

Hunt is 50/50 for me on that wing atm. Petrol isn't b22 and I'd rather give Long or Dewar the hff spot instead of Graham. Graham should be competing with either TK or Duggan In the Midfield

Hutch is probably a touch down the order with his preseason so far but it will be interesting to see. I'd rather use Graham inside and move Kelly to a wing.

Hunt then makes way for Dewar as a HF. Petch actually makes for a great sub.

If Flynn has a good preseason then I'd take Bailey Williams out for him.

Long is coming back from a knee so whilst I expect him to push for a spot I think it's more from about round 6/7 onwards after hopefully building irrepressible form at WAFL level.

Is Hutch poised to be a mid or do the club see him as a fwd?

This repetitive mentioning of playing a fast chaos game with a real focus on small forwards, speed and pressure has got me excited to see how 2025 goes.

How many years have we said we are playing too many tall forwards and the ball just walks out of our forward 50 under little to no pressure.

High pressure and the likes of Owies, Cripps, Long, Dewar, Ryan and Hewett hunting the opposition sounds like a breath of fresh air. Champion replaces Cripps in a couple of seasons.

Even though we are advertising how we want to play opposition teams won't be used to the Eagles playing small and fast.
