Doesn't matter how many hard yards you do if you couldn't get a kick in a stampede. It's why Ryan is still on the list and some of the hard yarders aren't.
Agree, wouldn't be writing Ryan off yet, when he's in form he's hard to replace like for like. There's still a long way to go...it's hard to gauge anything at this stage with new coach and gameplan. Post break and scratchies!

The trick is to lie on your CV son.

60% of the time, it works everytime :tophat:

That and name-dropping you "know" person A from from when you worked together at company B.

Even if you didn't, they won't go to the length of fact-checking; and in the rare case they do, person A is always busy and unlikely to recall most of the people they have interacted with.

Then when he starts the job...

This is where AI slop comes in handy.

Just get a list of all the different compliance requirements that exist for the role from GPT and suddenly management will think that you're switched on and capable of leading innovation.

Get it to create a "detailed 5 year timeline of delivery expectations" and you will probably end up being fast-tracked for promotion.

Agree that we should have a look at Clancy Dennis for a train on spot. Tom Bell who we were linked to predraft is another we should/might consider

That said, I get the feeling we’re looking for a KPD with a more mature body since there’s a good chance they’ll need to play this season, especially if Edwards foot injury is worse than they’ve let on

So maybe Ethan Phillips or DGB, if Carlton don’t offer him a contract
I have no idea how good phillips is but the fact that the hawks felt the need to bring in 2 KPDs to overhaul their backline says a lot.
If we're just looking at throwing big bodies at the position then he or brock might get the nod
We've already got big lumps to fill gaps ,at least for next season so I hope we've got more of an eye on the future

Down at training this morning. Quite a few still on modified programs, spoke with one of the fitness staff. He said most boys will be back and available post Christmas break.

Walking laps - Long, Chesser and HEdwards

Jamo has been entirely in the rehab running group.

Petch, Sheed, Reuben,, Cole, HJ and Davis - all did the first skill drill and then went off to the rehab group.

Harley, Graham, Barnett, BWilliams, in and out of the rehab group. Clearly transitioning into full training.

Unlike most weeks, today is a lighter skills session with Wednesday being the main high intensity session.

I have spotted all players + Sandy Brock.

I wasn't talking about the delisted ones. Talking about the new recruits and the example he sets them.
How many more years are we going to carry him for. If he doesn't come good after about 4-5 games
give him a one way bus fare to the WAFL.

At least now we’re getting enough options in the squad to be able to contemplate dropping under-performing players (hopefully) regardless of reputation.

For all his faults Ryan kicking to leading team mates is the best at the club sublime is that skill

Mostly positive news from this as more players starting to reintegrate into the main group

I didn’t go so can’t comment on the accuracy of the article

I left just before the finish, but before I did the players set up in a game sense drill and they were competing against support staff. Although it was very low intensity, it gave a chance to see some potential positional insights.

All draftees other than Shanahan sat out. All those who I mentioned had been in some sort of rehab group also sat out the drill.

They set up like this

Backs - Gov, Brock, Hough, Baker, Hunt, Maric

Wings - Hutch, Hall

Mids - Flynn, Yeo, Kelly, Duggan

Forwards - Waterman, Allen, JWilliams, Ryan, Cripps, Owies

AReid, Shanahan, Brockman an Rawlinson all rotated forward.

Bazzo swapped back.

Whilst this was going on, Reuben ran 10 x 400m. Was seriously motoring.

Cole, HJ and Davis all ran really well also.

Just remembered I didn’t spot Dewar at all throughout session.

i suppose having serious injuries the last couple seasons had nothing to do with his drop off.

Every time I see a training photo of shanahan I pinch myself, still can’t believe we got him where we did.

No doubt referring to this one. Steal of the draft. Can’t wait for the Richmond tears when they realise he is better than Faull and Sims by some margin.

Star FF in the making. Nicholls will be a great foil for Ollie Murphy if they both go on with it. I think all the KPDs taken in that 30-40 range this year are going to be very, very good players.

100% whether he becomes a KFWD or KDEF he looks like being a great pickup.
Will force someone else to move positions whether that A Reid to KDEF or Barnett, which is good for our team.
