I go to all the public training sessions and I am tellin ya all there is spring in the Eagles players steps like it happened in the 2010/11 pre season when they went from wooden spooners to almost winning the premiership.
Watch out Australia

Premiership in 7 years confirmed.

Load up on 2032 boys and girls! Got me the premiers tat already!

Peak 27 year old Harley Reid with the Brownlow/Norm Smith double!

Anyone heading down to training today?

I want to hear some super controversial subjective opinions on who is TTHD and set for a breakout year?

No training today - players are on their mandated 4 day break between their return after Christmas and the first preseason game

Next session is Wednesday

Considering he had to bring his arms down to brace for contact he had ample time use them to push off.
Absolutely this. So Maynard had time to drop his arms, turn and drop the shoulder but not enough time to push off? Hardly.

Would have been a different outcome if it was a team mate.

They forget the htb that wasn't given i think in the second quarter which we should have got.

And barrass block on goaline with stephenson’s 1st quarter goal. If you want an example of blatant blocking, that’s one.

Mandated by whom as Carlton played an Intra club game this morning

Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

It’s in the CBA

The exact timing is up to each club but there has to be a 4 day break at some point

Yeah and if you brace for contact and hit someone in the head you are supposed to get suspended.

Running fast and straight then leaping to try to smother and then you want him to keep his arms straight and” push off” ??
Good way to break an arm or wrist if you ask me.
I think some of you blokes have got your “ I hate Maynard” glasses on!

Sorry can’t agree. I think Brayshaw was dumb! Didn’t protect himself at all.
Bit like some of the young drivers you come across today. Put themselves into perilous positions blithely and expect you to brake or swerve to avoid them. “ I don’t have to protect myself;you do it for me”!!
If it was me jumping in Maynard’s place I would have expected Brayshaw to A. Pull up.
B. Swerve to one side.
C. Drop the shoulder and brace for the hit.
D. I wouldn’t have budgeted for him running face forward with a “Hit Me” sign on his chest!

It was just another case of the AFL looking after a select few clubs.

NN got suspended for a legal tackle because he didn't take into consideration the difference in weight.
Masten got done for biting, despite a dental surgeon testifying it was a jaw reflex when Suban pushed his forearm into Masten's mouth.
Gaff missed a flag through suspension because Andrew Brayshaw didn't protect himself at all.

One of our players got suspended after Maynard for a similar action, without using the shoulder and from further away.

Nah Brayshaw has a glass jaw imo. If he copped a punch like Staker did he'd probably be dead

Not sure how to put things from X on here … but Lachie Read is reporting that Elliot Yeo injury is an MCL…

Not confirmed but suspected MCL

Good that it’s not an ACL but still a significant lay off if it’s a MCL
