So, the Bombers have won 22 out of 26 close H&A matches since 1990 (not counting draws). I wonder how good the Hawks are in close finishes? Hmmmmmmm.

haaa, look at the finals stats!!!! why not include finals performances in your stats??

when was the last time you had a player kick a goal after the siren (or even on the siren) to win a game!!!! check up on that one.... and then see when it was last done in a qualifying or prelim final!!!

I could count hawthorns losses by under six points in finals on no hands as it hasnt occured in my lifetime. But its a slightly different story for essendon, as you should be aware by now!!!!

Whata bout the 1993 prelim? 42 points down and we came back under immense pressure to win the game.

We lost by a point to the Bewars in 1996, but if anything they choked. We were the ones who were coming back at them, and they were the ones who gave up a big lead. We ran out of time.

Bottom line is, even if you include finals, our "6 points or less" record is 22-8 since 1990, and an incredible 22-4 in home and away games.

I recall Hawthorn losing narrowly in 1996 to Sydney, and in 1994 (in extra-time) to North Melbourne. You also lost narrowly in 1992 to the Eagles, so get your facts right.
