I've lost faith in Simpson was happy to back him in but i think he's out of his depth. He has had enough time to fix the issues but is incapable. Would be happy to see him go, we are a carbon copy of North Melbourne of the last few years why is that a surprise? The club is riddled with ex North players, North ended up having the oldest list with the worst youth and lost a prelim every year this is what we have to look forward too.....

Yeah doesn't really make sense that Simpson has clearly been phasing him out of the midfield, yet the club re-signs him.

The thing is, IF, they signed him as pure cover and Simpson and the board came forward and told him, look, we are going to rebuild here, and we cant promise games or midfield time, but we will give you a one year deal provided you are aware of this, ok.

But there is no way this is happening. The club has a nasty, nasty habit of rewarding senior players with games for no other reason then they have been around for a while and not on form, and there is no way they are going to playing Priddis in the WAFL. Nor can they play him anywhere else other then in the middle because he isnt quick enough to be a defender and he is not a goal kicker who can play on the half forward flank. Throw into the mix that he has lost another meter of pace and can only kick off the left foot, and we are left with a real, real problem.

The game has evolved, and whilst Matty has been a great servant for the club, its time to move him on.

The decision has set us back years in terms of midfield mix and development

Seriously, I'm at a crossroads.

I don't believe the club has a vision going forward. I seriously don't see a positive future in the short to medium term with our list.

Something is seriously wrong at a board level IMO. I just dont see how a professional club can be so ignorant.

I can't see us delisting lecras either, some young kids are going to be the expense . seriously so dissapointed at the club...

Other clubs are chasing young guns like Josh Kelly meanwhile we are negotiating completely unnecessary contract extensions with a 32yr old who is the slowest player in the game in circumstances where we have the slowest midfield in the league. Just brilliant work.

There is a small chance that this is the case. I'm trying to be optimistic. Get a years salary to be injury cover and provide some insight to the young guys. It has happened to some of the players over the years. McGinnity was one of them. He was a WAFL regular at the end of his career. We've seen Emac, Schofield and Butler spend a bit of time there lately too.

Maybe they are moving on a player or two , Masten maybe a trade ....Redden not making the grade required ( as yet anyway ) .

So they extended a year for Priddis , reckon West Coast are working on something anyway because the Mitchell trade was amazing .
