Meh, it was there.. but my god that happened about 20 times during the match and wasn't paid. St Kilda definitely had the rub of the umpires green, and not surprising given that St Nick who can't do no wrong is on the team.

So it shouldnt be paid as all fans and players want is consistency. If it isn't paid for the rest of the night, it shouldn't be.
However, if you needed to rely on a free kick to win, you didn't "deserve" to win.

That ump had money on the Saints. Terrible decision given the conditions, no feel for the game whatsoever.

Ahhh the inconsistency that is AFL umpiring. Something(diving forward while being tackled to handball) that probably happened 30 times without being called earlier decides the game. The Fat Controller wants to push the AFL into more markets yet at the same time kills the game with new rules and over officiating. Saints fans should be happy, they were the better side for more of the game but its always going to go down as a gifted result.
All we ask for is a fair go. We didn't get it.
Absolute rubbish!!! Geelong were robbed. God I don't even like them but **** I hate the Saints. And now have to watch them celebrating when they should never have won!!! What a disgrace.

Look at the reaction of the Saints players around Ling when his kick went through - Goddard in particular, absolutely pissed and resigned that they had lost the lead. Which tells me that they did not think the free kick was there and that the goal would stand.
