Review Question on Gibbs.

Reckon he has a healthy ego which would see him kicking goals aplenty.

I reckon that he will be back into the midfield when we can finally field a full strength backline.

Joseph ... Jamison ... Armfield
Bower ... Austin ... Walker

We get another 20-30 games into that lineup and we will have a rock solid backline.

Just need to get Aussie out there

Can't fit JR in?

I won't be favoured for saying this, but Gibbs had better start putting in some better efforts.
This has nothing to do with last week either.

For someone as talented as we all know him to be, his work rate has dropped off significantly and this was evident even through training as far back as six months ago.

You can do better, Bryce.
Prove it.

Russell in there too so we can play Walker up the ground further too. Gibbs and Walker up the ground makes the midfield and even the forward line alot more dangerous again.

JR has to be there, obvious.

I'm must be missing something with Aussie; Ive seen him competant and aggresive in a handful of games.

Is Austin a walk-up start???
Is he so proven that he pushes one of walker or Russell out of our backline?
I can understand him pushing White out.
Austin seems good and I am not being a smartarse but can someone please explain why he is spoken about so highly to the point that many have him as an integral part of our backline as soon as he is fit.

On the (big) assumption that Austin comes good, reckon it's:
B: Armfield, Jamo, Walker
HB: Bower, Austin, Russell

AJ's position depends on who he's tagging, ie sometimes he's in the backline, sometimes in the guts

It is a bit of hope really. Austin is young, but he is big, and has shown some good signs. He's not a walk up start yet (current injuries aside), and he wouldn't push Russell/Walker out of the backline, but he can be a true CHB, where the other two are flankers/pockets. Bower can be either.

whoops... definitely forgot JR...

Put him where 1AW is because, as jimthegreat says, having Gibbs and Walker playing from the defensive side of the wings moving forward would make our midfield a lot deadlier place.

I've been critical of him passing off when he's been in range. Reckon he lacks a bit of self belief which is why he doesn't take as many risks as he should in defence and looks to pass off rather than take a shot on goal.
