Someone really, reaaaaallly needs to teach Butch to kick. As a matter of urgency.
Where's Ben Perkins these days? My lad reckons its the way Butch drops the ball to foot. Too blind to see it myself.

People keep saying it was Hawthorns pressure, partly true but we have been turning the footy over way to often since 2007 and if you go back this season in the the games we lost, mistakes, poor decision making causing turn overs have killed us. The thing is opposition pressure is one thing but when we have one of those days we turn it over with no pressure. Then they say oh, it's perceived pressure, i call it mentally fragile. Then they say we are a young developing team, ok fair point, so why is it our experienced players do it too. So let's see what's left, oh that's it our confidence is down. Two words required. 'Turnover kings'
I for one don't miss Chaplin kicking lace out onto the oppositiions chest. No Chappy thankfully would not make it into our starting 22 anymoreThis.
We need that big body to sit in front of the likes of Roughhead etc.
Carlile's lack of acceleration has been shown up for weeks on end, but we have no other option. Must be a priority for next season.
Pittard is not an AFL level footballer.

Pretty sure Kane Cornes too k one to the back of the head as well. Saw him laying on the ground when Hawthorn kicked inside 50 in the third. It was off the ball as well. Doubt either will be looked at or reported because, you know, Hawthorn.
It seems Ken has lost confidence in him as far as the kick ins go.I think I'm starting to come around to this viewpoint. I was a bit bemused when he was out injured and so many were saying how much we were missing him. I couldn't see it but thought perhaps they meant structurally (and this has some merit given how we were using Broady, Ebo and HH at the time). Since he has been back i haven't seen much to like. Today he was diabolical. Stood too far off his opponent, constently outpositioned, lacks the confidence to commit to the mark and double fists it away instead and his kicking is so overated it isnt funny. I dont want to be one of those guys who says a player isnt up to it but i hope im wrong.......but i will
Cough* Mitchell *cough. Will it be looked at? Ha, shouldnt have been out there after last week!
What about Burgoyne's "fair bump" AKA shirtfronting someone while they are still in the air.
How much time do we give Butch to get right? When he kicked the first goal i thought, great that will help his confidence, then the next shot oh no here we go again. That ball drop....
It all depends what colours you have onWhat about Burgoyne's "fair bump" AKA shirtfronting someone while they are still in the air.
Yes it was a nice even balanced view of the game by our Victorian friends. lol
That was Logan and all fair according to commentary apparently

He looks more balanced in his run up but i did notice he doesn't hold the ball straight so when he drops it, who knows where it's going.I honetestly think he shouldn't be picked until he stops dropping the ball that way. It hurts the team massively.
I do like that he counts his steps etc now though, that is an improvement at least!

Treddas was a ripper. His kicks weren't shanks today. They were spinning properly and didn't miss by a lot. I remember vividly another young forward whose kicking for goal was the bane of many supporters in his early years. He went on to be a premiership captain and the best player we have had in the afl. Butch is working on it and the improvement will come.

Yes I would always cover my eyes when Tredders went back for a set shot ...he was way more unreliable in a set shot than just instinctively kicking it ... imo.His kicks weren't shanks today. It better come quick because it looks like Schulz is loosing his mojo. His kicks weren't shanks today. They were spinning properly and didn't miss by a lot.
