So when the ball is being carved throughout the middle on the way back, does it just skip the middle and land in Essendons forward line? Or does the oppositions quick and skilful midfield move it there?

Plus their midfield scored 4 goals, Merrett 2.3 on his own.

And when our midfield bombs to our forward line? They start their attacks.
I had Brad and Smith comfortably in our best, they played great individual games, Smith in particular......

But we don't have midfielders who play a team game.

By rewarding failure, failure is what we’ll always get. The old cooked players will keep getting games, the young players will get disenchanted and either leave or become mediocre passionless robots like we have now..

This has been the clubs way for so long. Why can’t they see what everyone else does? Can they not see this group has capitulated too many times when it’s mattered and they are cooked? When are they going to be bold and show some courage?

I fear this is the clubs modus operandi and it will never change and we will not see a flag for a very long time.

Games can also be won in the 1st half, if you took your chances and build enough of a lead.
Nope. When you're as slow as us you have to maintain control of contested ball, otherwise you can blow a lead very quickly. Our whole game is built around contested ball and in each of our shit losses we've lost control and got overrun very quickly.

Yep, if we took our chances and had a 7+ goal lead, we would have slow it down in the 2nd half and easily won.
