Wines was not in quarantine isolation and neither was Theodoropolous. But Theo and his cameraman should be required to undertake a covid-19 test immediately to eliminate any question of their having been a risk of infection.

Regardless of it being a C7 set up, if Ollie Wines didn't clear the interview with the club first, he unfortunately belongs in the same category as a couple of other mental giants at the club who probably failed kindergarten plasticine modelling, ie the coach and his senior assistant.

Surely Theo needs to be tested too with the swab being pushed down way past his adenoids and rubbed around for a good few minutes

No way can this warrant missing a game if the Crows breach didn't.

Make him take an extra COVID test and make Theo and his cameraman get one too. I haven't had one, but sounds like that's punishment enough and should remind media to take some of the responsibly of following the rules too - especially the broadcast partner.

Yeah just test Ollie and get the results before the game.

Not sure it works like that. The test may not pick up early stages of the virus which is why there is a 14 day isolation period for returning travellers even if they have a clear test at day zero.

He won't need to isolate as he hasn't broken covid state law. You can have visitors to your house for God's sake.
He will just be tested as is norm. And probably get a fine.
There are going to be more afl covid rules broken probably this weekend.
The 1.5 rule on the bench is bound to get some team this round.
So the afl won't be looking at a suspension

The AFL can make him isolate if they wish regardless.

At most it will be a suspended suspension, not close to what the crows did and that’s what he got especially given the position the state is in now.

Caro has said the club is furious, they knew about the interview but Ollie just didn’t think of mentioning it was at his home.

If he misses the game it will because the club made the decision not an AFL imposed one. Telling him not to come to training is an interesting decision, probably more to do with the club following procedure following a player breach then an indication of what is to come.

Its the obvious thing to do. They have no idea where the 7Adelaide staff have been, so no idea if they've exposed. So also no idea if now Ollie has been exposed.

But how could this possibly happen? A well run club would be crossing all these t's and dotting all these i's. The club was aware of the interview but didn't know it was happeing at Ollie's house? Why didn't they know? Didn't think to ask? Don't have a checklist?

OK, I understand these are unprecidented times, but we have a media manager right? If he is not aware that 7 Adelaide are capable of this, he's not good enough for the position.

Anything more than a fine would be disgraceful (but not surprising) after the Crows much larger breach, but I still think this speaks volumes about our clubs management.

Have you noticed the difference between us and them though. We come out straight away and give a presser. We admit we might have made a mistake.

thats fair but thought it could have been positioned better, or not had a black background. if it was left red would have at least stood out as the logo, but being black looks like the white strip is cut off

It totally ruins the aesthetic of the guernsey. They've had 10 weeks to get a proper run of the guernseys made up (we we're always going to wear it).
