Game Day R3 Port v Fitzroy, at the Gabba

Our goal kicking has been truly trash today. The scoreboard doesnā€™t reflect how many easy shots weā€™ve squandered. Clearly itā€™s in their heads now too. Set shots from within 25m should just be a gimme, as should running in to an open goal. We lose, this lack of conversion plays a massive part.
It already has. We should have been three goals up. 4 sitters missed to Gray x2, Westhoff and Ebert plus Rozeeā€™s to start the match. It allowed Howard the opportunity to get them back in the game through his handball **** up, and Motlopā€™s joke of a tackle.

This isn't a Kenny performance. This is a typical post-2004 Port performance.

Shit start, way down in a blink of an eye, wrestle back control, waste half a dozen shots on goal only to watch them kick some late ones in junk time as per usual.

Now all we need is for us to go 40 odd points down partway through the last quarter only for our miraculous non-successful comeback which sees us kick 5 goals in 5 minutes to get us within a kick with 5 minutes left only for (choose your own adventure time):

a) Ebert to kick into the man on the mark trying to get the ball to Rozee who's at the top of the square on his own
b) Westhoff to take a great contested mark 20m out in front only to hit the post
c) Sam Gray to inexplicably miss the biggest dead cert of all time from inside the goal square

and to lose by 17 points. Lock it in.

We are our own worst enemies. 15 years of this ****ing lunacy. We have the least clutch senior group in the history of world sport.

And there you go resorting to the cheap shot. It was only a matter of time. No wonder you like Cameron so much.

Iā€™m with you Ford, heā€™s sniped Houston twice. Iā€™d have no issue if Houston enacts revenge and gets rubbed out. He has to stand up for himself again that little Biggs

McStay is actually competing. Thats why he's looking dangerous. Not just because he's tall. On last weeks effort, Marshall would've just been standing a couple metres away from Harris Andrews and just watching him take the mark.
True, but Sam Gray has 6 disposals to half time. Would rather be getting experience into Marshall.

wines has only played 45 mins and looked gassed. He could of made a charge into the forward 50 to become a target but just stood on the 50m arc and went closer to the kicker; 10 meters away not wanting the ball

Weā€™ve got this easily. Brisbane had a hard running game last week against North.

Just need to be close at three quarter time.

Hence why for the last 5 years Iā€™ve said I would cry if their moved on and people think Iā€™m mean. Mentally soft.

So we don't have it easily then?
