Nice manipulation of the facts!!!

First, the game your referred to was a 19 point victory not 9. Second, Hawthorn were beaten in all major game stats. Third, Fremantle put the cue in the rack in the last quarter when it was 30+ points up and Hawthorn got a few late goals when the game was effectively over. So that would be two decisive wins to Fremantle at Subiaco since 2010 over Hawthorn's single victory in 2011.

Not as much a manipulation as the person I was quoting. One loss in one game becomes "no wins since 2010"

And cue in the rack ? Is that freos excuse ? They must put the cue in the rack every week (except the ones they never even take it out)

Actually I love the stats and the squiggle graph. It's very interesting. Just need to get back to the actual games sometimes.

Oh totally! The eyeball test tells me that Hawthorn are better than Fremantle too. Fremantle don't attack enough and Hawthorn's foot skills are the best in the league.

When they are winning, yes they do. That's exactly right and is why they have a lower percentage.

Hi Final Siren,

Can you share the secret sauce behind the flagpole? There are a few things there that are a bit mysterious to me eg. teams which can't make the finals having a non-zero chance of winning the flag, and Adelaide, despite being rated 8th-best team by the squiggle and predicted to finish 8th are the 3rd favourite?

That would seem to suggest that recent performance are very heavily weighted, but (although I haven't been following the flagpole too closely), it doesn't seem to have the volatility that that would suggest.

I'd be very interested in how it's worked out.

Just not going to happen. Even at the G, they will beat us comfortably.
