Goodes is in the midfield to start with, but I plan to move Ziebell into his spot and upgrade Ziebell to an Elite mid where there are more options.

Still unsure about some bench spots, They can be sorted on Friday

Still not entirely convinced on the following selections:
Greenwood, Goodes, J.Brown, Ziebell. I don't think they will dissapoint, but there are some other options at their prices.

Possibly might go Goodes to NDS, but then I will lose the MPP move with Ziebell.

Can you please give me some feedback?

Firstly Greenwood is injured, so that solves that problem. In that price range, only Hunt, Ladson or Waters can slip in to that spot without drastically changing your team. I'm not sure about having both Kennelly and Malcheski. Obviously you have a bit of money tied up in the backline with a 3 rookie midfield though.

Goodes is a unique midfield selection. There's so many amazing options there that if you really want Goodes, you're better off picking him forward and playing a true midfielder in the mids.

Would appreciate some feedback on my team:

Backs: Goodwin, Enright, Hurn, Hodge, Carrazzo, MacDonald, Malceski
Reserves: Waters, Maguire

Mids: Bartel, Stanton, Cooney, Ball, Martin, Barlow
Reserves: Shuey, Bastanic

Rucks: Naitanui, Seaby
Reserves: Warnock, Grimley

Forwards: Riewoldt, Franklin, Giansiracusa, Gray, Hall, Dangerfield, Medhurst
Reserves: Gumbleton, Rockcliff

I've given feed back on teams and I'll continue to if I get time. Here's my current team. Don't bother commenting if you're basically going to say change it to look more like yours. Intelligent discussion please. $28k left over.

Backs: Goodwin, Enright, H Shaw, Hodge, Malcheski, Hunt, Waters (Maguire, Davis)

Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Mitchell, Ball, Martin, Barlow (Shuey, Bastinac)

Rucks: Sandilands, Hille (Warnock, Bass)

Forwards: Riewoldt, O'Keefe, Harvey, Gray, Hall, Ziebell, Rockliff (Gumbleton, Podsiadly)

Concerns:
Can Shaw break the tag consistantly? I don't enjoy paying a premium price for the odd failure. I want consistency for that price.
Malcheski/Hunt - Very few options for these spots unless you run the triple rookie midfield which I am not keen on.
I know Bass won't play, I don't care for the 4th ruck. I know lots won't agree with this.
Ziebell vs Medhurst!
Bench could change as usual after teams come out - If the site doesn't explode..

Positives
1) 4 solid guns in the Backs. Remaining backliners will not lose any value.
3) I like the approach of having two elites in the ruck, I have used the same stratagy.
4) Forward line looks good to fire

Negatives
1) 150k on a back line bench player might be a bit much, however options in Rookie backs are limited, so might be a good stratagy this year.
2) You already paid premium for Ablett, this is justified because he will be your perminant locked in captain. Why do you want to spend big for Mantagna?
3) I would look at Gilbee as a good option in DEF I'm not sure I like him in the mids especially since you are adopting the three playing rookie stratagy

Goddard, Enright, Hodge and H Shaw fine keepers
H Shaw and Gram can be roller coaster rides
Sheppard is in twice?

Not a fan of the 4 mid option but fine selections if that's what you want

Reliable rucks

Forwards good too, although I would go with Rockliff in and Rohan to the bench

Solid team IMO

Not liking your midfield mate, bit light on i reckon, but the rest looks solid. Perhaps trade out a back for some more grunt in the guts.

Greenwood out for 2-3 weeks with a brocken toe
Nash got 15 and 39 pts in his NAB games
Mids fine although Dangermouse only got 47, 63 and 64 in NAB Cup?
Rucks = Solid
Fwds fine although not sold on Zieball (55, 74, 69 & 59 in NAB CUP)

Backline looks very solid. I like the choice of Carrazzo, I too think he will have a great year this year, tried to squeeze him in but couldn't unfortunately.

Midfield looks as good as it can without Ablett I guess.

IMO Sandilands is a must this year, But if low priced rucks is your strategy good luck, but i feel 1 elite is crucial.

Forward line looks very strong.

Here is my team...

I have rated alot of peoples teams and when I post mine I seem to get little response if any. Thanks in advance. :D

A lot of money spent on your backline, but at least it should score well.
I've gone off Cooney, think Ball will score better and he's cheaper as well, but it's your decision.
Good rucks.
Forward line probably lacks another premium, i'd consider downgrading Hunt or Malceski to a cheaper option and then upgrading a forward.

Good luck. :)

I Really like your backline, don't mind not having Goddard if it allows you to add a 5th premium. I just tried it and it makes my team look much more solid.
Midfield is strong, not sure how Vince's injury concern is going, got cover on the bench anyway.
Rucks are nice.
I really think you need another premium forward in your forwards. If your going for a league win not overall ranking it might be alright, but otherwise i'd really consider downgrading maybe Vince or Gilbee to make room for an extra premium.

Gook luck :thumbsu:

Could I get some advice on my team, thanks:

Def: Enright, Hurn, Hodge, Gilbee, Gram, Hunt, Waters

Def - First 4 fine (although I stay away from drummond due to injuries), Gilbee has changed role and doesn't seem to be able to return to his high scores, last 2 are fine given a 2 rookie mid.

Mids - yes, yes, with the absence of sewell and others I'm not sure if Mitchell can keep up his average (watch) , Vince has had an interupted preseason (watch), the rest are fine

Rucks - Fine

Fwds - Farley common list, I would have pods in lieu of hitchcock but apart from that fine.

As an overall my main issue is injuries with Drummond, Waters, Maguire, Vince, Banner, Hille, Warnock, Harvey, Hall and Gumbleton either have previous, current or age injury issues. Thats a third of your team, or half your trades therefore i would review each one and if you had a toss up call like Hille vs Nic Nat I would change a few to make your team more robust.

Hope it helps.

Def - yes, yes, yes, See my previous post, yes, yes, yes
Mid - yes, yes, Gibbs with Judd out and Murphy with inj. issues I think he may struggle at the start of the year so I'm looking at him/murphy as fallers after the first month, I have questions on him, yes, yes
Rucks - Fine, although I can't see Bass playing much if at all
Fwds - I have had similar and changed (Dangermouse didn't impress in the NAB Cup so I went to Medhurst) Pods has been elevated so maybe him in lieu of Roberts?

Tell me what i can do to improve my team;

Goddard, Goodwin , Enright , Hodge, Malceski , Hunt , Waters , (Maguire , Silvagni)
Dal Santo, Mitchell, J Selwood , Ball , Trengove , Martin (Barlow , Banner)
Hille , Natanui (Lobbe , Gawn)
Riewoldt , O'Keefe , B Harvey , Franklin , Gray , Hall , Rockliff (Gumbo , Pods)
Have 120k left over, what is thoughts?

What do you guys think of this team? Any advice appreciated. Want to take some $$ from mates in my league! :)

Personally, I'm a bit worried about the backline. Had Heath SHAW in their until just a moment ago. Not sure about him. But having the two Carlton players could backfire...

I think the midfield spread is fine, the rucks I'm happy with and the forward line is strong.

Hey mate,

Havn't seen you rate anyone elses team yet but I'll trust your name will pop up now and then ey... ;)

Anyway mate, No ablett for me is alright as long as you use it to get the extra points you miss out on not having him captain... Thus, another ultra premium would be the go, particularly seeing as you have significant cash at hand. I'd be looking how Mitchell goes early and maybe looking at upgrading him. Another option maybe upgrading ball for swan (proven performer). I guess if you could bear having one less cash maker then you could offload Trengrove for a smokey like McVeigh. Up to you...

Good luck.

Here is my feedback alot of it you probably know:and
You have hunt, waite, hayden all three of these players have missed a year of football so its a big risk having all three in your sides.
I think that maybe a nick malceski is a better and cheaper option then sentana, or you could down grade to schoenmakers who i think will score just as much, and then you could spend the money upgrading gwilt to gram.

Your midfield is solid i would however start barlow on the ground over trengrove.

This is jusst opinion but i think that Jolly has already peaked in price and will most likely drop. I would either go a naitanui or possibly a seaby and hope to upgrade to a sandilands later.

Your forward line is quality but i would maybe look to downgrade pavlich as question marks have been raised over his pre-season, possible option maybe a dangerfield or j.kennedy. Then use this money to upgrade to a premium defender.

Thanks mate.

A lot of those players and possibilities I've had in and or out of the team.

I get the feeling we're all on a similar page, and it's just a bit of luck and which rein we pull that will decide how the team goes.

Bests with yours.

PS assuming you've got Masten yr midfield also?
Big year for the kid I reckon!

Agree with you there regarding some concerns over the backline mate.

Goddard = Gold
Gilbee = New role so maybe less points??
Waite = Is he over his injury?? I think he could come out firing and have a great year, start out slow then build up to a pretty good year or have an absolute shocker.

My thinking is downgrade OhAilpin for Malceski (who I was really worried about but have warmed to recently given he's got a point to prove & trained the house down this preseason)?? Then Gwilt for Waters (should play & rise in value) or Schoenmakers (Hawks injuries mean he should rise in value)... Then at least you may have enough to get your hands on a hodge or shaw (say if you upgraded Hayden) &/or have upgrade potential later on??

But you have a pretty 'spread' team there... Obviously no ablett could be an issue given the potential of points lost with him not being captain... but lots to look forward to if some of your midpriced ($300-400K'ers) do alright.

Pretty interesting strategy compared to alot of other SCers.

Good luck mate.

Thanks fella. Your point about Gilbee and his new role has had him dumped from the team. He's going to be more of a negator this year yeah?

Here's how it shapes up - going through this tonight as I won't have a chance after tonight to change again before season proper:

(Pav gone from the FWD line, MF and RUCK the same I think, Backline new look... BTW anyone who's reading - JIMMY GWILT is SET. He's a buy.)
