Oh Crap.

Wallsy's written a positive article about us before a big game...

Jinx.

IF THE Blues beat the Roos tonight, they can just about lock in a top-eight position and start thinking about being top four. Tonight's match at Etihad Stadium will be the first of a run of five that the Blues will play there, and all are winnable. To do so would position Carlton at 12-4. It's a mouth-watering prospect if you're a Carlton supporter.

There was improvement in the year following Pagan's departure, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't as big as he has suggested...

Blues4flag has said it best.

Wow...what a wankfest article haha
The article that all Blues fans would write.

Interesting how he rates Bower and Armfield
enjoyed reading it, but it has jinx written all over it :p

Yeah... Walls has definitely come out with the flag flying on that one...

If he jinxes us, I am going to have him kneecapped (j/k)

Not Wallsy's worst article, liked the part about us supporters being patient for Hendo :thumbsu:

If you think about it, learning to deal with positive press is something we've got to do. If we play in a GF sometime soon, we'll have 20 positive articles written about us that week.

The sooner we start to win off the back of articles like these, the better :thumbsu:

Well that does it - we surely cannot win now.

We are put off our game every time Wallsy writes a positive article about us.

Might have to look at some odds for the Roos to win this one.

Why?

Mitch won't be put off his game, who knows if he can actually read? Pretty sure he'll be all ME SMASH, SMASH HEAD, SMASH BALL RARRRR!

I notice he didn't mention Mitch robbo. The kid is raw, but the negative comments from walls can't do his confidence well.

Oh and J, the article is written like its 10 of your BF posts all pasted together and published thats why!

If you want writing advice all you have to do is ask.

I reckon it might take a bit more than that to mess with Robbo's confidence. ;)

I am eagerly awaiting a follow up from Caro with her usual crap about Judd being a poor leader of an undisciplined rabble.

Talk of the defence being a weak point fails to appreciate the tremendous job the guys are doing down there. We have tightened up considerably on recent years and we have had very little luck with injuries.

The biggest reason for the transformation of the team is that we now play as a team. When we have the ball everyone runs to an attacking position but more importantly, when we don't have it, everyone works to get it back. That did not happen as often as it should in previous years. Two of the biggest offenders are no longer there and it shows.

We need to string winning games together in a long sequence to be serious contenders and that will start tonight against the Roos.

Im scared about tommorw night now.
Wallsy has been a massive Jinx for us in the past.

We need to, and should win the next three at least to signal we are serious.
With two wins down, and three to follow a five game winning streak will give us the momentum and belief to be more than just a flea on an elephants backside come September.

We can then "afford" to let slip the odd winnable game without losing momentum.
Not concerned about Walls or any perceieved jinxes.
Right now there are half a dozen boys out there that know that any chance they have of holding their spots for the remainder of the year hinge on tonight's performance.

Let's see what happens.

It's a big test for us tonight... if we win... then it shows how far we've developed... even to the stage where we can overcome Walls' Jinx...

Need to win tonight, haven't won three in a row this season and too many nice articles about us, and when that happens we usually end up getting done.

''In short, they force errors and deny the opposition the ball. And the Blues have been consistent in their pursuits. A good indicator of the team's work rate is the number of quarters won. Geelong leads the way with 33. Carlton is next with 28. It augurs well for the future''

Wow. Didn't know that.:thumbsu:
