Hard to complain about any selections. Maybe would've played Biggy ahead of Corr as the latter might be underdone.

The rest is a solid blend of experience, best 22 and blooding youngsters.

I expect Stevo to start hf for McKercher. Powell or Lazzaro to start in the middle and Sheezel on hb.

But I want to see Sheezel in the middle, so maybe I'm wrong.

Admittedly it’s the midfield I’m concerned about which is probably a good thing.

Even the forward line has me with confidence.

We played with a depleted backline all throughout last season.

What, you add a bit off pace and skill in Fisher and Stephens and it’s looking dire?

Duursma really helps this, for me. He tips the balance of having enough talent down there.

If the midfield plays well then we'll be respectable against anyone. We might still lose but it will be respectable.

What's concerning about the midfield? Body size? Defensive running?

Personally am not too optimistic. Reckon we'll struggle against the harder bodies at their home ground. They also still have more talent than us on the park overall (it will change in the coming years).

Only way to win is to catch them off guard with North ball and our new found running capacity but I'm predicting a 5-8 goal loss.

The back line is definitely where we are shakiest. There's a lot of newbies in there. Corr might have played 100 games but I don't think anyone else has.

Bugaluggs was exaggerating with the 30 goal line, but they could easily get 20.
