Geez why is everyone still awake. We've got a big game tomorrow, catch some zzzz. And no hanky-panky!
it is ony 7:30pm
looking fwd to AFL teams when I get home (bugger the footy show)

For me, it's interesting that we are playing 2 ruckmen. Would have thought that the MC would be leaning towards playing just the one, but then again, our tallest option after that would have been Thornton to fill in while Warnock rested.

Thornton is the biggest worry for me: he will get destroyed by Riewoldt. But if our midfield destroys theirs, then it shouldn't matter.

Hammo may spend a lot of time at FF for this one.

Also I trust Thornton to do ok if he is given the task of tracking Riewoldt around the ground, just needs a bit of help from his mates.

Hammo and Warnock are the perfect combination for us at ruck - full forward on a wet Melbourne night. If they can't get the grab then chances are they'll do their best to set it up to let Garlett and Betts run wild at the drop of the ball.

I'll be very happy with T-Bird if we win and he keeps Riewoldt to (average) one per quarter. If he kicks five or more then I'd be disappointed. Then again, if we're comfortably up and he gets most of the five 'lazy' ones when the game is already decided I'd look past it too.

It's 11.11pm over here in the real world. :p
another perfect day here in Perth. Must be a record for number of days with clear skies 22 min 33 max. Your real world has a bad odour to it. Head west young man. The west is the best-get here and we'll do the rest

I do hear that the females over there are quite attractive.

Do you confirm or deny? ;)

Legend without an ounce of hubris in his body.

Unlike that smarmy w***er James Brayshaw.

You can tell how much Sticks loves the Blues. :thumbsu:

Just his attitude when talking about the club and the future... he really wants us to succeed in the future.

Yes thats why it is all sand and heat ..been there didn't like it ..i prefer green rolling hills . ;)

This. Add lack of shopping hours and restaurants closing at 10PM.
Ghost Town central.

Not really super confident about this one. We'll have to play very well to win, because this is far from our settled A-team. So many new players, so many unknowns i.e. new i/c rules, new game plan, backup KPD's, and not playing Hendo at CHF for some bizarre reason. I think we've made some excellent changes over the pre-season, but it might take time for it to settle. Happy with any win tomorrow. Then we can take stock, make adjustments, and gradually introduce more talent returning from injury. The goal is building momentum going into the finals. Early season is always a bit shaky. Blues by 20 points.

:)

Help required for a traveling dingleberry:
Will be in Woolongong tonight, does anyone know of a footy Pub in this very pro-league Town.
Also my Wife tells me it is not being played live in Sydney ( not even main event she says) well I say

I'm keen to see him make amends for last year actually. .. So far this preseason he has looked good, lets hope he has also fixed his attitude issues. ..

Would have preferred to see him line up in a new role across HF/FF and use that keen ability to read the play in Hendo's absence. .. I understand Ratten's dilemma though, with White, Laidler, Duigan and Yazz in a new role they needed some experience down back in Jammo and Bower's absence. ..

Hope Thornton doesn't cop too much abuse tonight, once again he is stepping up and playing the KPD, when he is better suited to a support role in defence and we should be thankful that he is still around to assist. ..

Having regularly travelled the country, I can reply on that one for you with the answer being a definite YES.
The boys go O.K. also.
There is a stark difference walking through the centre of Perth as opposed to Adelaide, I can assure you.

Re. tonights game: Feeling just a little edgy right now.
Relatively confident for the win and not overly concerned for the new boys coming in as they have age and experience behind them.
I just hope we get a good game out of all our boys tonight for a confident lead-in to the year.

Not sure what you're saying here. .. Adelaide's Rundle Mall has some of the best scenery, of any central mall, in the country. .. Mostly because the town is dead and the only places to be (particularly in Summer) are the beach or the mall. ..

Given that it's supposed to belt down .... would of helped if Ellard was in the side.

Our defence looks very suspect (White and Thornton) and no Hendo makes nervous about our leading targets and the ability of a swing man to play down back if need be (would like to keep Waite up forward).

Heres hoping Betts and Garlett have a blinder up forward, and our midfield totally dominates them.

Also, no Joseph to play as a tagger =(
