You know you're going well when your main problems are the typical round 1 spin (Chemistry, weight on kicks, structure etc)

We're competing brilliantly around the ball, the kids look superb, and we're getting it in to the forwards quickly and regularly.

Ross ball is all that's stopping this from being a beautiful game of footy. Such an ugly brand to play, and it won't win them anything either.

I'd like to see O. Henry presenting and offering something of a target up forward - particularly noticeable in the second quarter kicking to the end I'm sitting, that he seems happy to be hanging back, waiting for the ball to be kicked in and reacting to where he thinks it's going to drop

Problem with that is he's getting caught behind his opponent or even a loose defender who are also reacting to the play in front of them

A bit more reactive than proactive at this stage - I'd like to see that switch around, as it's a lot harder for defenders when the forward is leading at the ball

Dangerfield looking fit and fresh. Got his power and speed back.
He was like this round 4-8 last season. A jet. But then he did a bad hammy, broke his ribs first up and played hobbled for the last two months.

With a bit of luck and support he can still be a point of difference.

I agree, he should be leading etc. he needs to step it up second half.

Could be his role maybe? Or still figuring out his place around Hawkins and Jezza.
But I agree, he's a very good lead up forward, not so good sitting back and waiting though.

He has been struggling in training over past week. To me looks like still not quite right on the ankle. Hopefully it warms up second half?

Close that Geelong/Richmond rebuild thread on the main board ASAP.

I'd take Max Holmes by himself over the entire Richmond youf stocks.
Richmond would give up a lot for Dempsey and Holmes …I still have hopes for Clarky he just needs more game time and Bruhn has been very solid even last year he was good

To be fair to him, he's taking Wilkie out of the game and more importantly, away from Jezza & Hawk.

He's an AA defender Wilkie, he's no spud, and we've kept him away from the guys he SHOULD be playing on.

I see it as a win tbh, Ollie will get his turn in due time.
