Why would you abandon plan A when you are still trying to teach it to the group?

As a player it would be fantastic to have a style of play drummed into you all preseason, then have the coach change everything every other week as soon as things get tough, would be real easy to play under that.

No one has given up - they have simply been outclassed - we are in a completely different phase to last year - I would argue that was telegraphed to us from the first NAB Cup game. There are casualties of going down this path - some senior journeyman would do a better job in these conditions - but would we be better off in the long run?

I'm confident there are strong strategic reasons for why he has gone down this path - I've had the feeling all year. The young blokes will be better for the experience but this was never going to be pretty.
