Coming from so far back, I was worried about so many people fixated on finals.

Teague has stabilised a sinking ship, but the work needed to get it shipshape is ongoing.

Poor effort after half time - especially what was on the line. Intensity was amiss. They wanted it more.

With finals out of the question time to make changes for the future...starting with Murphy.

Last quarter was deplorable apart from that we had a real crack. Our mid forward connection needs a lot of work. The improvement this year has been great but we’re not ready for finals this year.

I hate to say this but it was a complete lack of leadership in that third quarter that ultimately cost us not only the game but effectively the 2020 season. Forget the whinging about selection, 22 players go out to represent the club each and every game, when required we were found out big time. Too many players go missing at too many big times in big games.

We had 8 days to rest up, that's plenty, they had 6. No excuses.

Conservative selection over 6 weeks caught up with us today. Not enough fresh players. We looked cooked even though we'd had the longer break this week.

We haven't mixed it up enough. But it's a balls-up of a year anyway, so mistakes are gonna be made everywhere by everyone at different times.

Collingwood had a game plan and executed it well. They are a good side and would of beaten anyone in the bottom 8 today. It sucks to lose to these pricks.

He is bloody smart and knows exactly how much ground he can close so sags off and can cover the area of two players. A little like Rance. It’s almost like being in two places at once.

Didn't adjust to Collingwood's changes after half time, left the fat side open and they cut us up. Really disappointing.

Hard to name a good player but Jones, Weiters and Walsh. Not good enough.

Said it during 3rd qtr, the lack of respect we showed the fat side switch was disgusting.
We made Daicos look as good as his dad.

Disappointing but not unexpected. The way we play got us wins over Freo cos they dropped defensive marks, beat Gold Coast off a 4 day break, but won’t beat the half decent teams.

That’s the story of this season. Plenty to work with And we have progressed this season, and you’d want to see that style of football not reappear next season which will have us in the eight no doubt.

Thought Murphy was best afield. Fisher, Weitering, Setterfield and Walsh were pretty good. Hard to pick a winner in the second half given we barely scored.

GWS are gettable.

But the sooner Walsh is captain, the better. There's a guy who lives and breathes football and is a born leader.

Probably once he is 22-23.

Maybe Weiters is ready?
But if you can't get something as simple as which way to kick right, you should not be captain.

Extremely disappointing. Pies were too good, they zoned and suffocated us in the 2nd half. We were too fumbly. No fluency

Not enough poise and spread around the stoppages as apposed to the Pies. Kicking was not up to scratch.

Docherty was out of sorts.

We do need more class in the midfield and half back. Not much different to the Hawks game as areas of weakness which showed up there.

It will be interesting to see how and who they play now in the last 4 weeks.

Failure to recognise what needed to be done with squad rotation for the Gold Coast game in order to have people fresh and settled for this match, failure to recognise that we couldn't carry two rucks given our current schedule.

We lost this game at the selection table over the last fortnight.

We lost this in the contest and due to our inability to stop Pies run. Second quarter was only time we got the game on our terms
