Tough ask today.

Doggies had a blinder last week and flexed their best.
Can they produce it 2 weeks in a row?

We are basically unchanged with only Knevitt coming into the 23.

Weather could be a thing and some suggest Stanley a late in perhaps?
Guess we'll see by the time the VFL starts and whom the hold over emergencies are.

Maybe a late Clohesy in for extra grunt on a cold wet and heavy night?

Unlikely but with the Dons losing we can gain some Top 4 breathing space with a win

Wont be easy but is doable.

As we like to see...

History shows Dog's have won once at KP since 2007
Recollection is, that Dog's have been difficult to beat
Dog's team appears full of talented players... on paper.
Like most teams they suffer inconsistent performance
Switched on, play like champs, when flat, like chumps.
They cannot afford to relax, but can't stay pumped up.
This makes the Dog's unpredictable and dangerous
Can they back it up after the high of beating Blue's?

Usually Dog's are pumped-up when playing the Cats
They will also be full of dread paying Cats at GMHBA
Cats are territorial and will fight to defend their turf
Dogs rely on their star midfielders and marking KPF
Slick ball movement by hand and sharp foot passing
Cats rely on intense defensive pressure to break teams.
Expected damp and slippery conditions, favours Cats
Initially the game will be a hard fought arm wrestle.
Cats will pounce and create goals from turnovers
A few unanswered goals may break Dog'd resolve
Otherwise, control momentum and grind out a win.

The game may not be a fast high skilled spectacle.
However even a scrappy win is a thing of beauty

Yeah I agree, I think we will win this easily. That buldog defence is very fragile against our forwards and our midfield has improved the last few weeks. Their midfield is always talked up and feared; it hasn't helped them with anything. I think we will make a bit of a statement tonight, we're building.

We also have Scott and they have Bevo - enough said.

Big one tonight in terms of finals. Win this and we should be playing finals…. Even as a top 4 team. Lose and it’s 50/50 whether we make the 8. Midfield needs to be up and about….. as the dogs midfield is strong…..
Paddy D key man!
We'll make the 8 comfortably regardless of today's result. Today determines if Top 4 is likely or not
