It's interesting that in Atkins absence we've really turned to Holmes in the guts and at centre bounces, and we've moved Bowes to the backline in Holmes role

Not sure that's really worked

Part of the teams return to form over recent weeks has been Holmes returning to the backline and providing run from there

While Bowes has been playing as the 4th in the guts midfielder behind Atkins, Dangerfield & Stewart - but he's obviously moved from that role tonight

Add in Parfitt to the mix and I'm not sure what his role is meant to be tonight, and it feels like we've got a few of these positional swaps wrong

Geez Stengle coughs up an easy walk in goal then stands by as his direct opponent attacks a contest and brilliantly kicks it to the top of the square for an easy mark and goal.
Not blaming him, but it's a bloody good example of our game tonight....

We have been spooked by the conditions. Have half the handballs that dogs have. Which means no real overlap. Not getting our link players into game at all.

All bombing and hope

And yet still only 3 goals down

Dogs have 63 more possessions, and 11 more tackles too. They've been willing to work hard. We haven't. Simple as that.
