That's where I have to disagree with you. People forget that the boy is only 22 years old. Most AFL players peak at around 24-25, so I wouldn't rule anything out yet. We are known for our trait of ruling out young players early then being proved wrong by their sudden improvement.

No way, I reckon we are far better known for keeping average players on our list far too long than we should in the hope they'l be okay when the "peak". How many guys that we delist when young go onto be good players? Our discards fail elsewhere. Rodan probably the only recent exception to the rule.

Andrew Krakouer has performed better than I thought he was capable of this year. Not that he is a gun or anything but playing better now than ever.

Yes, he has had a good year, no doubt. Still not convinced he would have been as effective for us.

I thought D-Mac played a game or two earlier in the year. After looking at stats I see that he hasn't. Has to come in, and hopefully not as the sub.

Although he would be wrapt just to get on the ground, after only likely getting the last quarter, or just over, then that's it for the season, you would be left feeling a little deflated.

D-Mac, Webberley, Morton and either Nason/White as the sub.

I agree Tugga, but the question was asked about players we delisted as duds that have gone on to become good players and I reckon he fits that profile. Granted he is lucky to have been given another chance but playing fairly well all the same - if not consistently.

I get what you're saying, but I don't think anyone we have delisted has gone on to be great players.
Krakouer was never coming back to Richmond. Just wasn't going to happen.
Polo is still a plodder.
Rodan is in injury prone, 15 touch midfielder.
Schulz has been good, but I would rather have Vickery and Riewoldt.
So yes, in essence I am agreeing with you. It's just that Krakouer was never ever going to land at Richmond. Too much water under the bridge.

and as for Krakouer .. he is still the same player with the same knocks who would be struggling the same with us now as he was back then

Just a bit of Cake decoration at Collingwood . Give him a real role with responsibility and see how he would go

Dont get me wrong , very canny and astute of Collingwood to pick him up , excellent piece of recruiting . Serves a purpose magnificently down there .

The RFC need some serious grunt and career footballers , not window dressing

Not happy about White coming in.

He should be gone at season end, and I thought him being out of the team was a sign of this to happen.

His coming back in for the last game doesn't then make a lot of sense.

Yes but for the last game of the season why not give D-Mac a taste, could be something to really encourage him over the summer.

White you know what your gonna get, I'd much rather have a look at a kid for this game.

Hate dropping a kid after just one game (where he didn't get a full game anyway). Wouldn't hurt to give him one more game before summer. I dont think we should get rid of white, at the least we need some depth. As long as we aren't paying him much keep him in the team for another year, even if he only plays at VFL level.

Would have liked to see what D Mac is like too, hoping for a late change (if he is an emergency that is?)
