Actually 4 disposals is the lowest ever in a game for Buddy.
Darce was a monster in the ruck - lots of his little taps to advantage in the second quarter handed us midfield dominance and goal opportunities. That one-armed mid-ruck catch , spin, F50 entry kick off a step, and then Shoota's resulting mark and goal had me laughing my f***ing head off - what a classic!!

He was so stiff with that Sydney goal from his 'dropped mark'.
That mark gets paid 99 times out of 100. In fact one was paid just minutes later to Sydney that wasn't held even as long as Fyfe did.
There was a lot of strange umpiring today in both directions.
Noticed Young using his right a couple of times in the last few weeks. Good to see after his draft vids showed he a good right foot, but we have hardly ever seen it.

How was that moment when he was streaming through the middle and decided to handball to Hughes alongside him to take the kick (who I think didn't hit a target).
I could just picture JLo in the box wondering how to diplomatically suggest during the review that Young should be taking that kick and that Hughes isn't in the team to be a designated kicker.
I am so glad you did that because the exact same idea popped into my head but I was too lazy to do it

The unholy trinity of LJ, Amiss, and the cyclone starting to show what the next 10 years will look like. One marking in the middle/wing, the next on the 50 line, the last back near goals. Giving us dangerous targets on each line. Very nice.

I love that we copped another weird advantage call. The umpires are definitely trolling us. Have been for years.

I've expressed my doubts about Erasmus previously but I'm starting to come around to what he offers now.
But I can also see why they've held him back like they have - his style of play isn't really one that a underdeveloped teen can pull off.

Umpiring was incredibly bad. Was about 5 or 6 50s given away on a ground where a 50m is always going to be a shot at goal. The treacy one was hilarious. Blakey passed it straight to him but Treacy made no effort to reach for it.

Of course you’re right, but whether you play or support you have to enjoy & celebrate the wins. We haven’t won here for ages & it’s another small tick for our very young group.
The Bulldogs game was poor, rock bottom to be honest, but the Brisbane game will hopefully be seen as our turning point. We did ok & changed things up to the credit of the coaching group who were roundly bagged out at that point for the way we were playing.
Hopefully it continues but we took a step forward today at the contest, which has been our Achilles all year.
As someone who's spent most of the last 29 years wishing I supported another club, there is a bucketload to get excited about. Forward line looks like a completely different beast for a start. It's a pity Amiss's kicking went a bit Freo.

It's so funny because it feels like Darcy is having just about his best year, or at least very close to it. Certainly performing a lot better than last year with Lobb as his 2IC.
