Well if we add a Gaff (or similar) and a Josh next year to our midfield......which against some teams like Ess, Port and Coll who we struggle against due to speed....imagine how much better a side we will be. And that will have a snowball effect to how it impacts our backs and forwards.

We match up well against some teams and struggle a bit against the quicker sides. Would help if we came out with the pressure and intent against those sides though.

Day and night if you compare last week to this.
Seriously all between the ears for these kids.. They just put away a very good team with ease.

With honestly no wind to aid in any of it. That was huge, it was an earnest win against a top 4 side.

Kennedy & Shuey out are huge, yes. But we're out with Waite and Jacobs, our most important players.

The game was fair and square if you ask me, and we came out on top. That says a ****load.

We were actually quiet wasteful going forward. I thought it might come back to bite us but they adjusted and smashed them in the end.
It just looked like a mature team winning.

We were, but the game never felt truly out of control, if anything we were in control all day. It just didn't pay off until the second half. I knew that if we kept it up and kept the pressure on and inside 50s the goals will come and in the end they did.

I think whatever Brad said at the half worked a treat, reassured the boys that what they were doing was 100% correct just need to make slight changes. Once Higgins got off the hook, Ahern got his untagged dominance going and Cunners was on a roll, it was game over. Not even West Coasts midfield which is nothing to snuff at couldn't touch us. The game was that good.

This year compared to last year is so vastly different its unreal, we've come a long way and the new faces in the side have contributed to that success. Ahern's only going to get better, Walker will get better, LDU will get better, Sympkin will grow more.

The team is maturing and building into something special, now throw Tarryn Thomas & maybe a Bailey Scott and one Josh kelly in the mix. That's premiership contention.

we are the sort of team who would take advantage of a home ground advantage.

Before the game, I was saying to myself that I would have preferred to play WC with Kennedy and Shuey, if we had Waite and Jacobs. They are more important to our structure IMO.

He has sides head ****** moving forward through the air. He's the ******* iron dome.

Indeed he does. I reckon it really adds to our midfields ability to bring pressure too cos the opposition baulk at him and at times it seems they are looking for a Maj free zone to kick toward. His presence sometimes seems to slow opposition entries into the forward line.
