Use the rest of the week for your interim coach to show some tough love to the playing group so you come out guns blazing against the Hawks/Dogs. Give Horne-Francis the captaincy for the game as he looked to be the only one putting in effort all night.

Then when that didn't work and we improved when he came on... Why'd we do it again at the start of the second quarter?

Garbage gameplan aside, the biggest failing of Ken's tenure on gameday is his ability to adjust anything. He gets outcoached tactically or something clearly doesn't work and we just...keep doing the same thing.

There's never a plan B. There's never even a slight adjustment to plan A.

I think the combo of the Lions, Dogs, GWS and now Cats finals are showing it's been happening for some time and we still haven't even remotely got close to recovering from any of them.

Why the hell are we gifting games to McEntee and Evans when for the latter half of the season we should have been playing Lorenz every game.

After sleeping on it, it's the one thing that I genuinely don't understand. 20 points down in a final, why the FK did they look like it was game over or 100 points down?
Looked like a funeral in there!
Where were the coaches? Where were the leadership group?
That is the biggest and most worrying thing I've seen in such a young group of professional footballers

Yep. Anyone that was at the game saw this. Right at this point we started to get out classed.

We were hand balling then getting tackled straight away. Geelong were polished.

Our defence was good and did their best. Getting the ball out of defence was a nightmare.

Our forward line is quite poor besides georgiadas and a bit of flair from rioli.


Boak, wines, drew and sweet were horrific after the first quarter.

My gripes were the forward line and midfield.

The better team won on the day. We can come back from this. We have to play better.

Midfield was setup all wrong and were lazy/weak/outbodied. Let Geelong play their style of football so Port were never going to win this, was that coaching or on the players? Any contested or free ball that was won by Geelong they arsed a blind handball out at 45 degrees to a team-mate then they all run forward.

Zero pressure by Port through the forward line or midfield to create a turnover when that happened.

Big Forwards were both jumping at the same ball playing into Geelongs hands to clear it from the ground ball and run hard down the other end for an easy score.

Did miss the 55 metre pinpoint passes out of defense though, made the ground much longer and gave time for Geelong to get back and force a contest and ground ball.

Finals only matter if you win or lose.

Next week 100% every contest as there is nothing to fall back on. You might get hurt? Too bad seasons over, no premiership for you if you lose.

The media needs to call this out to coaches and players, and no matter how they try to spin in, 'yous didn't hear everything, yous didn't see everything, there was lots of belief and encouragement', just stick to their guns and say the body language was shocking.

I am lucky I have seen us win 13 SANFL flags and 1 AFL flag but our culture has turned 360 since those days we now have no leadership no accountability no ruthlessness and a team that are as mentally weak as you would ever see. So yes without change we will not be successful for a very very long time.

The bloke who described Port as the `that little old blue collar club from Alberton' on day one has unfortunately turned us into fruit tingle's light.
Regardless of his so called financial expertise the damage he has done to the club's once proud culture is immeasurable, and that is unlikely to change while he remains in the chair.

As has been suggested by others, kern is only a symptom, koch is the disease!
