Nathan Brown (I think it was) made a good point on Sunday that with Mini doing a pretty good job and winning that what it means is the panel who are selecting the next coach are going to need to be an outstanding candidate to unseat him. The players love mini and he was already viewed by the club as a head coach in waiting. So the bar has been set very high.

I'm not sold on Mini...
Even in getting the win against the hawks, there was a lot of the same old s**t for the first 3 qtrs
Jeez, there was fast moving handball chains going belly up through poor skills.

Hand balling behind a bloke running past not only breaks down the play, it increases the chances of injury when the guy needs stop and retrieve it.

He has the same team and no off season to change anything, what he is doing that Dimma didn't often do is making changes that turns games, I like him, the players seem to like him not sure anyone else will be better?

Still we have to turn every rock to make sure Mini is the man.
If Mini is the man, then we beat Melbourne. Then he will almost have it.

TBH, I have warmed to Mini.

He has tinkered a little with the game style. Ha has put faith in kids and hasn't thrown them out straight away after one bad performance.

He is not afraid to make big moves during games. He has the respect of the players. He's left Balta down back even when opponents look like they might have a day out and he has almost always bounced back.

He doesn't lose his cool in the coach's box and thinks through all scenarios.

Very impressive. I don't think he could have been more impressive as we don't have a top 4 side any more.

I’ll be disappointed if minibus gets the job without the club contacting other possible candidates. I thought we were going to be doing our due diligence and tick all the boxes. Why does the application process have to end on Friday as we have important games coming up to see if minibus can cut the mustard?
Sounds like a Boys Club if this happens.

I am sure they will, Caro said only him Ralph said 4 others. I trust the club know what they are doing. Can’t Always trust the media.

Mini had the job 3 years ago this is nothing more then a box ticking exercise

The other applicants will be blokes who coach in new Zealand so we can say we did out dur Dilligence

This has always been a succession plan

The club could have come out and appointed him as soon as Dimma left if they wanted too. Why wait?

They did ....they just havnt given the official lingo

His on 3 years

This exercise is purely to keep the angry ants at bay club can see we tried we went through process etc

I would leave him as sub against Melbourne but would have him in the 22 against Bulldogs
Don’t mind it. We reckon this week tag Lever with Mansell (give him some Towner like nightmares) and chuck Miller on May to free up Jack.

Why would the club have preferred Mini 3 years ago over say McRae? What is so good about Mini?

I will be bloody furious if they don’t look elsewhere and interview others outside the club.

They've stated 1 millions times that they will interview outside the club

They also said they're doing it just so you aren't 'bloody furious'
