I'm glad I was always right about the bloke.
Lol wut? Cos he's trying to get one of the most highly rated young assistant coaches in the country from another club? That makes you right about him

When you snooze. You lose.

This is a good thing. I'd like blokes like Grigg to get an insight into as many different organisations as possible before we consider them as a head coach (or assistant) gig at Richmond sometime down the track.

And Grigg probably hasn't been away from Tigerland for long enough for my liking to get a really good scope of the football world before coming home.

That literally makes zero sense. How would they be holding up the process?

If you rule out the caretaker & any other assistant from the process early on, the process can be conducted & completed prior to the end of the season/finals

It’s how GWS & Collingwood went about it

4 years including a premiership, I reckon that's long enough. Plus Edwards, Jack and Cotchin won't be there.

They’re obviously clearly in the mix otherwise they would have been ruled out.

Grigg is loving living in Geelong. Really happy there.

Built a property down the surf coast if I’m not mistaken, also has a young family - I’d be surprised if he uproots his life particularly as he’s highly valued by Geelong.

Dimma about to find out that he’s going to have a hard time bringing coaching staff interstate when they have settled family lives in Victoria. Not everyone has a mistress they can move away with on a whim.

Ouch!!! Harsh but true.
