It goes with the territory, don't let it bother you. It's amazing the need to bring us down, now that we are starting to come good.
If we are good enough and start a period of dominance like Hawthorn and Geelong have then players will settle for a little less to stay a part of a power team. If we are not good enough then keeping aging guns moving into their 30s won't matter.
Isn't it great to be a Tiger fan, if we are going too well lets start a new impractical pessimistic post and stick a broom stick up our own backsides ...
This is a problem for every club, you worry about it when you have to.
Closer to 1.4Yet you are most likely paying both Mitchell and O'Meara combined over 1.2....
Agree with the OP. It is an absolute disaster for the Richmond football club that they have retained the competition's best player at a market rate through the rest of his prime. Wait, what?
really impressed at how tv has blossomed into a solid vfl player with the hawks culture
err...BELOW market rate....He was being offered "Over two million more" than what Richmond is paying him.
Like to revisit this post now? Carlton.... Hahaha.North melbourne are overall as a club going nowhere and lack direction, but the best thing they did this year was forcing the tigers to overpay Martin and really hold the Tigers accountable and at least prevent then from getting any better.
As a club theyre not good enough to be true contenders but if they had added another key piece, maybe they would be.
Now with the Martin saga, their hands are tied. Well done north.
Well there you go. Tigers really are rooted. May have to let Steven Morris go to fund Dusty's pay bump. Multiple wooden spoons await.
Really it's best to not have any stars, they're too expensive. Want a nice even spread of average to poor players.
What a pack of dumbos Richmond are. They paid top dollar to for a player who won a Brownlow, Norm Smith and their best and fairest in a premiership year.
With that level of incompetence their premiership drought should last a few more decades.
Richmond have the best culture in the AFL, there is no doubt about it now
