The mighty Tatura Bulldogs won some classic GFs there. Also my home ground when I played cricket for Shepparton. Such a thrill walking out to bat on Deakin Reserve as a 17 year old in A grade debut. Great batting deck at Deakin. Some great memories of Deakin Reserve Tug, both good and bad. Some great finals wins with Rochy, but also broke my collarbone in four places.
About 2 hours, but Friday arvo traffic on the Ring Rd willbe mayhem. Leave lunchtime and you should do it in 2 hours. Of course I can always give you a ride Roxy.Anyone know how long it takes to get to Shepp from the CBD roughly...
That they did Tug. Was there the day Rochy got them by 2 points in 92 which was Rochy's first GVFL flag, and then again when the Dogs beat us by 50 odd in 98.The mighty Tatura Bulldogs won some classic GFs there. Good times. I remember turning up to David Williams pub when Rochy beat Euroa in my capacity as sports journo after being forced by my sports ed to make a prediction and what I do if it didn't turn out true. So I said Euroa would win and if they didn't I would sweep the floor of Williams pub the following day. I copped plenty. That they did Tug. I guess that explains why they played Bulldogs vs Lions at Visy Park.

Any ticketing information yet guys? Me and the brother are going to head down from NSW.

I'm younger and far better looking than Ricky Nixon. Thanks Tuggmeister, but you'll probably get me drunk & take advantage of me - Ricky Nixon style.
Probably won't be able to make it, can't offload my precious pain in the bum until at least 4pm, and trekking up in Friday night traffic won't be fun.
Leaving around 4pm, bonus for me is I don't have to go on the Ring Rd Friday night, I'll simply take the back roads to Craigieburn then jump on the Hume from there. Should save me about 4 hours of travel time. Thanks Tuggmeister, but you'll probably get me drunk & take advantage of me - Ricky Nixon style.

Squad brings a few questions.
- Where's Moore, is that injury rumour true? If so, big blow.
- Where's Post? Hasn't played once yet this pre-season. Injured? Surely should get a go even if not cemented best 22.
- Riewoldt only 1 practice game now before round 1 if he plays next week? Not ideal.
- Are guys like Derickx and Edwards out on rotation (because they've already played a couple times) or more because we're working towards our best 22 as we edge closer to round 1 and the coach sees them on the fringe?
- Wheres Post, Griffiths and Gourdis? Obviously Gourids didn't have a great pre season, but what about Post? And even if Griff is only 90% isn't that's what the extended interchange is for, just to give him a quarter or two?
- It would seem as though Miller has made his way into the round 1 side.
2 reasons why Helbig Dea & MacDonald are getting games ahead of O'Rielly & Webberley. Firstly, its gives them invaluable experience at AFL level and also allows the coaches to have a good look at them. Secondly perhaps these guys have shown they are better players than O'Rielly and Webberley, lets face it neither of them are anything overly special.Yer certainly a few questions...
- Why are Hellbig, Dea and McDonald getting games in front of O'Rielly and Webberly? I would have though the latter two (especially O'Rielly would have had a decent chance of our best 22. Seems as though some at the RFC is pretty keen on Dea - is certainly getting a good crack.

I reckon the rotational changes for next week will be something along the lines of OUT: Morton, Nahas, Vickery, Dea, King - IN: O'Reilly, Edwards, Derickx, Post, Nason/Webberly
Ps. Really hope Moore isn't injured
Can you expand on this?Obviously Gourids didn't have a great pre season
