I doubt it’s straight up, that rarely happens.

That's a horrible deal for us. Our future third has the potential to be quite low. It's basically nothing more than a 10-12 spot upgrade.

We have already stated our expectation is amon compo + something else for rioli.

If Port are playing hard ball then the club should tell Rioli that, since Port aren’t prepared to offer a decent trade, he can forget about going there and better start exploring the other options. And we should be prepared to use the PSD pick on him if we have nobody else in mind.

I highly doubt Rioli cares/understands anything about what compensation we get for him leaving.

That is not something the club would be relying on at all.
