All this talk about how shit Simo and Wood have been is laughable. Floating down back and picking marks without tackle doesn't mean they are not valuable to the team. How much value do you add to non tangibles like leadership? If you bleed blue, play like to what the coach has asked, you're in the bloody team.

BTW, Doc has OP, shit news but has been carrying for a couple of weeks (wasnt serious) not sure if what was endured over the weekend has made it any worse......time will only tell.

Is it confirmed Menzel and Docherty are out this week?

Nope, speculation and (on my part) the hope that the club won't risk our young talent needlessly.

EDIT: Should also add that if they're right to go then both deserve to keep their spots - but don't want to see us risking them if they'd be better served by having a week off. Fingers crossed they pull up fine this week and we only need to make one or two changes.

Don't know what to think of this game.

Depends which Carlton ultimately turns up and for how long. We could steal a win here, or we could get smashed if we let some of the more talented Doggies off the leash. Just dunno.

I'm not the biggest wrap for Rowe, but played an absolute belter against Port, made Schultz look like an amateur footballer.
Probably would have lost to Sydney by 100+ without his efforts too.

I don't doubt he makes some costly errors, but geez, give him a big task and he can stand up.

There are definitely enough youngsters pushing up now to relegate the likes of Ellard. He's been a loyal servant to the club and is a positive influence around the playing group but he really does need to make way for the more talented youngsters coming through.

Armfield and Curnow don't have elite skill either but at least Armfiled has elite speed and Curnow has elite endurance so they can still play roles for the team. Unfortunately Ellard doesn't have these physical attributes to offset his average skill.

Fingers crossed Barkers Boys turn up to play :)
Ditto.

I know I should be more confident based on recent events, but I'm afraid of getting my hopes up too much lol. This team..

So apparently Crameri is out of form and playing VFL. Dogs board don't think its likely he'll play as he wasn't even in the bests in the VFL last weekend.

IMO Dogs only have Boyd and Stringer as marking targets in the F50, so i don't see Jamo, White and Rowe all playing, i think only 2 of the 3.

Rowe/White or Jamo/White.

He's a passenger. Uncontested possessions across the backline look good for supercoach but don't hurt the opposition.

Tuohy, Yarran, Buckley and Docherty are far more creative.
No. And if in any doubt on that.............no once more.
