Oh well, was always gonna take a monumental effort to turn that around in such a short time. Injuries have led to form and confidence issues.
As tough as the remaining draw is, it gives a good indication of where we belong. If good enough, we'll play finals. If not, we get a higher draft pick and reset for 2019. Confident a few tweaks to that midfield and we'll be strongly challenging again nxt yr.

Im not having a dig, he played out of position and only his second game, but the fact his,he produced very little in regarda to helping us win.

Agree. Dawson did fine in an overall poor side. I'd give him another go and persist. We need midfielders right now.
Disagree actually as it isn't the running pace that is the problem. It is teams that move the ball quickly, that mark it and look to play on quickly and in dangerous positions. The Swans take a mark, take 15 seconds to decide what to do, giving the opposition plenty of time to setup before the player does what we always knew he was going to do and he kicks it along the boundary to a 3 on 3 contest, and if by some miracle a Swans player marks it he too takes 15 seconds to decide what to do.

Hanners is cooked, reid cant get on the park, rohan gets 3 touches a game... they are not producing and are taking valuable salary. Ship them off
We need to evolve problem is im not sure it can be done with the cattle we have and we have given LONG contracts to Jack, Hanners who are struggling with the way the game is moving forward.

I think the rebuild needs to start in order to soak up the fat in contracts handed to jack, hennebery and Rohan. Time to say goodbye to smith & grundy as fantastic as they have been. McVeigh to be resigned to organise the kids on the field. I want talent drafted in, not rejects or trades

Well that was hard to watch! So many missed tackles, fumbles, and unforced turnovers.. I know we're missing 9 blokes but that shouldn't prevent us from sticking our tackles.
Aliir was outstanding again, but outside of that the other positives were... maybe Cunningham had a reasonable game? Dawson saw a little bit more ball late when given the opportunity.
As for 2018, we had 9 guys out tonight plus JPK and Buddy injured, and Jones can miss the rest of the season - half for his bump and half for being a clown. KJ the only one likely to be back in the near future. The tactics look poor, the skill errors and missed tackles and becoming habitual, and our decision making has been poor. I can't see us doing any damage from here.

Bang on. For once the commentary team got it right too. Low risk but unfortunately low reward play from us now and we don't have the players to win the 50/50 contests at the moment. Getting hammered in contested play when it used to be our trademark.

Also if they were more reliable,we may not have to play so many youngsters that are getting exposed

We lost to a team in form tonight. Shouldn't go overboard about it. It's where we are at right now.
Yeah we kicked to wings too much, but we needed to reduce the impact of their superior speed.
Still we missed chances to go when we should have in the 3rd and 4th.
AA obviously great - but they made the adjustment at half time in the coaches box to get him out of the area he was killing them in.
Dawson should get more games.
COR showing good signs - still only a few games in. Fox will increase his contribution too.
Give Ollie a week off. He often gets over run by bigger and more athletic guys. Shouldn't be at centre bounces IMHO. Belongs on the wing. Dawson needs to be there in front of Ollie.
Don't get the hate on Jones. He impacts with speed and aggression at the contest. Nobody else we have comes close to the effort and impact he makes on the fringes and in open play. Can be errant with his kicking but heck he gets us out of SO many tight spots...
Buddy needs to start showing he can adapt to not being the most athletic guy in the area which he has relied on for a lot of his career. We are in for a long few years if he can't do it. I'm all for trading him, as we aren't in contention, which is absolutely what we should strive for, but his value might be dropping by the week atm. We are REALLY missing Reid atm.

Tonight was the destruction of our side. So many things were poor.
- Coaching was atrocious
- Gamestyle was just abysmal
-Midfield smashed
-Forward set up non existent
- Can’t get it out of the backline
