I don't like having a go at players playing their first game in your jumper but man.... Moore, how does he manage to look more unco than a raw Shaun Hampson?

Each game he does a heap of great things. One-on-ones, 3rd man up, lots of little taps, knock ons, blocks. Amongst that he almost guarantees a couple of howlers a match. But there is so much more good than bad.

Plus look through his opponents' stats each week and I bet they are far below their usual output.

My perspective is that there’s a lot more trust between Plow, Weitering and Jones in particular, so that they’re not all at sea when under pressure. Maybe it’s the Docherty and Simpson effect, or (and I’m hoping) it’s their group development into a strong back 3 unit. Gives a good opportunity to bring someone through while those 3 are doing so well. They certainly go a long way to our ability to win or almost win this year.

Moore never plays again also.
All he did was whinge and misjudge the flight of the ball all day.

Not sure if this right, but it looked like he wasn’t even trying to mark in packs, but bring it to ground. Not sure if this was the case, but looked like it.

A couple of weeks ago, I said that if Moore gets a game in this team we are going nowhere fast. I stand by comment. I’m sure he works hard and he probably trains hard but he simply is not up to it. I know a
Lot of our tall forwards were poor, but he is only back up when no one else is available. How silvagni is not in this team is a complete joke! Even if Curnow, gov and Harry are unavailable, Moore still shouldn’t play. Rather see TDK.

Setterfield and Kennedy were great today as was Simpson.
Teague must address McGovern and Betts form but particularly McGovern. Was very happy to come off injured and gets a free ride at selection.
Callum Moore should be taken off job keeper!

Take it easy on Moore.

I actually thought he competed well. Didn't get out-marked inside 50 and was actually surprisingly good in the ruck against Goldstein...i don't remember Goldstein having much influence and he's been one of the best players in the comp.

However he didn't look dangerous at all and didn't contribute offensively...but I mean with McKay, Charlie, JSOS & McGovern injured he's literally our last resort...not quite up to the level but that's not his fault. He competed hard today.

Actually on reflection, I am loving that we are all down about winning a game that we led FROM SIREN TO SIREN. Blues supporters are back - winning is not enough, perfection is expected.
