Dave, we can't blame the umpires - it is 100% our team's fault.

Those three games (Swans, Freo, Essendon), plus Western Bulldogs and GC all should have been wins that weren't because we were lame ducks for 2-3 quarters

Season clearly done now.
Very hollow feeling but we’ve only ourselves to blame.
You can’t go around relying on others to make your fortune so here we are.
I’m sure everyone’s mind is going back to the “what If” games like last week, and the Freo game especially.
In a way it could be a blessing to have a longer pre-season, hopefully a fitter list and some decent changes to the playing list.

I’d even throw in injuries and poor coaching tactics this year as well.
You can’t really pin it down to one thing.
The facts are small margins in everything added up to create a big margin.

Yeah this. I’m heartbroken we won’t be there this year but the silver lining is it makes way for us to regroup and come back harder next year. Looking forward to see how the club responds.

Freo and the dogs we ran out of legs with a young team. GWS and Sydney the 1st time we just weren’t ready for, thanks dill. Conversely we had no right to win the north or second Brisbane game.

With such an even year with a bit more luck and a few less injuries it may have been a different outcome for us.
