No thanks. Plays 2 good games a year.A bargin for Melbourne. Both ends swingman
Of course he would. A lot of people don’t want to admit it (and trust me, I completely understand why) but he’d be best 22 in a lot of sides. All jokes aside he would walk into Melbourne's best 23 easily.
Lobb is just the type of player Melbourne likes to pick up to fix their forward line, so I've no doubt it'll happen.
Personally, I'd prefer to have no talls on my list than recruit Lobb.
You reckon? When Daniher no showed against us in the SF at the Gabba in 2021 and your next best option was Tom Fullarton it didn’t end so well for your lads. Something to be said for competent talls.
There are arguably less than 10 players in total in the league - that need to be divided across 18 teams - that are more than a pinch-hitting ruck, but are still a key forward first, and is still good enough to be an AFL-quality best 22 player (even if on the fringe, which we all agree Lobb may be). It's just that the Dogs and Swans (with McLean/Amartey) are the only teams that have a player like that, that has two. And Dogs have two other key forwards that don't ruck that other teams don't have, either.Of course he would. A lot of people don’t want to admit it (and trust me, I completely understand why) but he’d be best 22 in a lot of sides.
Using one game to comparison against Lobb's career is truly good stuff. Daniher has been excellent for the Lions.
He's not Carey, but he absolutely ****s all over Schache as a player.I understand trying to sell the myth of Lobb. But dogs ain’t getting change out of a third rounder. And being in Melbourne best 22 is not a certainty. Yes he’s tall and we have issues up forward. Bloke lacks the mongrel required. Similar to Schache.
Sure better player. Doesn’t mean I want him at Melbourne. When I say similar I mean in regards to the lack of mongrel for a big bloke. He's not Carey, but he absolutely ****s all over Schache as a player.
Rory is soft and constantly bakes his teammates for not putting it on a silver platter so he can take an easy mark and he's still FAR less soft and useless than Schache.Sure better player. Doesn’t mean I want him at Melbourne. When I say similar I mean in regards to the lack of mongrel for a big bloke.

Give him time. Mind you, not really a thing in defense.Haven’t seen him do that once at the Dogs tbh
Yeah as I said he’s better than Schache. So what. My point was about lacking the required mongrel.Rory is soft and constantly bakes his teammates for not putting it on a silver platter so he can take an easy mark and he's still FAR less soft and useless than Schache.
I don't really get the negative reputation Lobb has developed, he's a solid 2nd ruck/tall fwd option
I'd take him if cheap and the dogs are just looking to get him off the books, most teams probably would
When has anyone at the dogs said anything other than how much they value him? This false narrative that "we want him off the books" has come from nowhere. We want him to stay and if Rory sees a role in the 22 weekly he will also stay. It's on record by Bevo and Lobb himselfI don't really get the negative reputation Lobb has developed, he's a solid 2nd ruck/tall fwd option

Because he is a 207cms bloke acting like a toddler. Dude was sooking at Freo and now at W.B.
Rory Lobb is a strange hill to die on.Season and a half forward and never done it. He’s the boogey man to Freo supporters though, I get it.
This stuff is laughable. Bloke wants to play at AFL level. Done every role we’ve asked of him and busted his arse in the VFL when he was dropped. Hasn’t sooked at all.
Rory Lobb is a strange hill to die on.
You wait till he tells you how **** the Dogs are on his way out. Then you might change your tune.
No hill expert, but pretty sure you die on the hill when you're the minority.Mmmmm
