Nope. They do not concentrate on the rotation as it is. You will find nearly all the players know exactly when they are coming on and going off during the rotation. Its only when there are injuries or other factors that this is changed (eg matchups).

Plus I reckon we have enough coaches to be able to monitor it all, we do it already.

well i actually saw a piece on channel 10 last year when willo was injured - he spent time in the box & he was saying how it was an insight working with the assistants & "spotting out those who are tired" to have them rested.... *shrugs* of course the players kno approx when they're coming off, they do it week in week out, its a set routine... but if we're rotating players from midfield via the fwd line for eg, you wont know how it will affect that certain player when they USED to be taken off at the 20min mark of 1st qtr but instead they are to spend the rest of the qtr as a small fwd... having to monitor one player is ok, but doing it for the whole midfield setup may be quite time consuming during the game.... but then again im not a coach.... =)

We ALREADY rotate midfielders through the forward line, midfield and the spine! We would just do it more often! Its often we see some of our midfielders resting up forward, its not a new design. Just to count the problems (if any at all) with having an extra ruckman instead of an extra midfielder.

3 Ruckmen? I like the sound of that. Should give us a new look for opposition coaches to scratch their heads about. Not sure if we'd take that into every game, though.

The key there is for the ruckmen to be taking marks and kicking goals when they go forward - or at least making this easier for the key forwards/crumbers around them. This is where I think Spida will have a great impact on the structure this year. Doyle can grab it, but other than that early game against Richmond at the Dome all those years ago he's mostly kicked the footy with his knee. :p

How is Everitt's kick?

At least Everitt can kick the ball. Jolly...hmm.. he should keep rucking. Back in round 22... he ran to kick an open goal, and well... kicked it (lopsided) and kicked a behind. :p

^True that.

Does anyone else get nervous just thinking about this game? I get very nervous when I think about it.

I so badly want revenge against the weagles.

Round 3 against the Blions.

Going to that game! Make sure you get your banner ready, so hopefully I can see you. And I'll know who's behind that banner! :D

Haha, yes and if any of the other Swans fans in here go to games they'll be like "oh god, there's that crazy girl obsessed with the roomies".

I'm just so excited about going into the SCG! Parking in the carpark, walking over to the ground, eating junk the night, smelling the strawberries and Indian food that the people behind me ALWAYS bring.. aw.
