I reckon Walker might miss. Named on extended bench with CCJ (who was announced today).

Yes Sleevo was named but wasn't training with the match day squad I'm lead to believe. VFL squad. CCJ is playing as you stated, but yeah we'll see.

Young out as well. I reckon bench is Walkers, Mahony, Scott ( if Sleevo plays), Powell and then the the sub.

I wouldn't play walker. Mckay and corr on the tallest. Ziebs or mcdonald on the 3rd tall and play a little smaller back there.

Corr would get monstered he’s better as the third tall

Notes:

• Bolded - those who we know are playing but not usually seen as best 22 or debuts
• CJ rucks all entries in F50. When he's off, Goldy moves forward and Xerri rucks
• Sleevo on notice given pre-season form
• Powell/Scott interchangeable in terms of who is named where

Concerns:

• Are we going in too tall or can we use this to our advantage?
• Polec - has he really changed?
• Hall - is he really right to go?

Key Match-ups:

• Turner on Wingard (always hurts us)
• Greenwood on Mitchell or O'Meara? Mitchell can rack them up, but not always super damaging...
• Larkey/CJ v Frost - this could be one to really exploit in the air
• Walker vs Kozzie - athletically this could be exploited the other way

Yes I forgot about the Snake, he could slot in nicely. Yes ol Flatulator got side-tracked, debauchery got in the way.

As long as we do the five D's of footy- dodge, dive, duck, dodge and Handball we'll be fine with those talls all playing.

We maybe concerned the Hawks want the number #1 draft pick later this season. So we're outsmarting them by picking a team of footballers that for the majority and to steal from Cpt Blood , "get where the ball aint".

I am actually really happy to see Stephenson not playing due to his putrid performances in the pre-season games. He doesn’t deserve it.

With those covid changes for the Dawks it's now a legitimate 50 50 game between 2 of the bottom 4 sides in the comp.

On a warm sunny day the winner will be the team that has worked harder over the pre season and has the harder, fitter bodies coming into the final qtr.

I'd be tempted to leave Walker out. I'd put Scott or him as the sub and bench the other and I'm leaning toward Scott on the bench. We need run and Walker is the only one who is slow. Young is probably the least talented, Hayden reinforces the backline, especially with Walker out. Laz has great pace but I dunno if he's up to running all day yet. But Scott is a running machine and what I saw of the practise games he did okay. If we have three lumbering three talls we need some run to cover them.

Don't know where you're getting the Cunners info from. He was one of the best players on the ground when we beat the Hawks. 27 contested possessions. I agree with you that these two games are two of the best win opportunities we'll get all season, but I still don't think we're good enough to win both
