Been said but you’d think if Bytel and Byrnes don’t extract the digit around now it’s hasta la vista career.

It’s very surprising to see he wasn’t given a go with all the injuries. You think with Membrey out there would be a spot for him:
He’s shown he’s talented enough but there must be something he’s not doing right.
Hopefully Ross making him work will eventually make him a better player
It’s a big couple of weeks for these guys. Gonna be tough to hold a spot with everyone returning, if they don’t take their chances early they might not get another oneBeen said but you’d think if Bytel and Byrnes don’t extract the digit around now it’s hasta la vista career.
also a great test for the ubiquitous claim that Ross gets the best out of players and is going to get improvement out of every player on the list. There couldn't be 2 better players for the case study of Ross and his coaching. It’s a big couple of weeks for these guys. I see him as very similar to Jack Silvagni in his early days. Everyone used to call him a spud but imo he just has an awkward style of movement that disappeared as an issue when he got properly strong. Time will tell but Sharman is a late developer and on exposed form l think he's wprth continuing with. The issue with Sharman is he's got limited tricks, as many highlight, he can take a good mark and is good at set shots, the problem is there is only 15 contested marks on average per game so there really isn't any game plan at AFL level that can leverage from marks in the F50 because it's such a low percentage passage of play. His biggest weakness is when the ball hits the deck and a second effort is required to win the next context or to defend and/or help lock the ball in F50. His lack of agility and aggression at the ball on the deck also doesn't allow him to play up the ground either as a high HF, DEFINETLY can't play wing. It's why Ratts would have trialled him in the backline as an interceptor (or puncher) which exploits his ability to run in straight lines and mark the ball at the top of flight.
On exposed form I'm guessing you are referring to his first few games in 2021 because he wasn't much chop in the games he played in 2022. And I recon the reason he got on the end of a few cheapies in his first few games was because the opposition didn't have any intel on him however once they worked out what his one wood was it was too easy for the opposition to take it away from him.I see him as very similar to Jack Silvagni in his early days. Yet in 4 games he has 19 with 7 of them being contestedThe issue with Sharman is he's got limited tricks, as many highlight, he can take a good mark and is good at set shots, the problem is there is only 15 contested marks on average per game so there really isn't any game plan at AFL level that can leverage from marks in the F50 because it's such a low percentage passage of play. Help me out, was that way back in 2021?...I can't remember that far back.Yet in 4 games he has 19 with 7 of them being contested
Lack of agility LOL
Again? When has Sharman played wing previously?
Can't say I've ever seen Sharman on the wing unless he was leading up as an option

I’m an idiot I got him confused with battle on the wingYou really need to read up about the Titanic particulars, had it not been for the ships terribly large turning circle it would have been able to dodge that iceberg.

Really? Because the 2009 saints only kicked six less goals than the 2022 cats...sounds pretty far fetched to meLyon is back, nobody will be kicking a lot of goals. Ever.
Most were suggesting we were after Tsatas though. Who would knowI can see why we were chasing Pick 3, Sheezel's a gun.
They won't if they aren't good enough to break into the squad.....Why would you gift people games? And the youngsters will not get many games.
that’s literally his job take marks and kick goals. Pretty decent defensively. For instance max can take a mark but can’t kick straight.that’s literally his job take marks and kick goals.
Yes but if he only has one trick to get a goal and brings nothing else to the party then he's not going to help the team win many games unless he can take 4 marks and kick 4 goals every week but unfortunately he's not Tony Lockett and this isn't the 80s.that’s literally his job take marks and kick goals.
Yeah very decent but unfortunately another player has come from nowhere and overtaken him in 3 weeks so that's a real head scratcher.Pretty decent defensively. Showed that last year.
The issue with Sharman is
You're probably right about the defensive stuff but he doesn't lack agility or athleticism.
He's also among the few players with a little x-factor on our list.
You don't need to be the complete package to be a good AFL player, a lot of players lack in certain areas but have strengths in others.
