Well, an inauspicious start to the season.
Here’s me thinking the game is on Thursday night.
Here’s me attending a wedding and reception in the Megalong Valley Saturday night.
Here’s the amount of mobile phone reception available in the valley “0”.

Embarrassing.
You shouldn't have made this public, you may be ridiculed on here for years for it #embarrassing

Where the **** is Megalong Valley???

And a tip - anyone that gets married in footy season isn't the sort of person with whom you should be associating.....;)

I've seen one game at that place and I never need to go back 😀

Amazing. Geelong must really have sucked.

I have made on trip to Kardinia Park. We lost, and Kristian Bardsley got ironed out by Gary Ablett right in front of me. Headline next day was something like "God strikes Kristian". I just checked the record, apparently Stewie Loewe kicked 9 and we lost 164-134! I don't remember anything except the Bardsley thing.

Where did you hear/see that mate?

The Champion data dude Hoynie was on radio talking us up saying we had a top defence, ball movement and just broke down up forward last year. Said Carlton was not in premiership mode due to having the opposite basically. Mentioned that Lyon isn't as defensive as people say and praised his additions of pace and run and keen to see what we look like with full seasons from King and Membrey. He's pumped my tyres up so now expect massive disappointment.

When sides that broke through for a premiership in the last 20 years it's often of the back of a rebounding defender having an outstanding season. Jason Johannisen, Bashar Houli, could even go back to when Lewis Jetta weren't nuts in the Swans 2012 flag. Duggan and Jetta again for WC. Sincs and Nas being elite rebounders and adding Bonner looks good business.

It just shows the big money clubs get what they want , where our mob get there home and away game pushed to some park in the bush or sent to China in a attempt to raise some money.
Definitely the big money, but also old Collingwood are almost guaranteed 50+ thousand bums on seats for any game, even when they're not playing well.
St.Kilda fans tend to not pull the big crowd trigger unless we're about to play for/or are assured of a finals hit out.
Geelong holds less capacity than an average Collingwood game...so Win/win for the biggest of the big 4 clubs.

Cordy is a straight swap for Doogs and let's not pull hairs here they're of a similar ilk, if anything I find Cordy more reliable, team-orientated and less prone to brain implosions. As long as Battle gets up which it very much sounds like he is, the backline is looking fine.

Personally as mad as it sounds if Sincs wasn't 101% I'd prefer give him the extra rest and see how things operate without him back there.

What's slightly galling to me is Battle was injured whilst attempting to re-introduced Brows to the Moorabbin turf.

How Windy has recovered so quickly from the broken hand astounds me, but most pleasantly!

I hope we don't head in with too many underdone. It's only Rnd 1 FFS.

Shocked to see Pady Dow another month away, so the importance of Dow Jones can't be understated!

Would imagine once Hunter comes back he's playing for his career which is a travesty of justice for the young man.

Saints by 29 points LFG!

Wilson everywhere, would love to see some blank agression out there Garcia style, Max 3+, forward line largely a nightmare for the opposition. Higgins would want to perform!

Think the most important match up will be Wilkie v Cameron.

If Cameron plays well it usually results in a Cats win. Bloke is a genuine gun.

Last season Wilkie absolutely blanketed him in the first half (8 disposals). He ended up kick chasing in the last at half back which allowed Wilkie to be a spare in the D50.

Hoyne and David King have bothered to drill into our personnel and game style, unlike the other peanuts like Cornes & Barrett!
