It's always been an exploration year, and given the injury list to start the season off, I think we've seen an approach of "we will stick with it until we can't".

"Can't" started against Port Adelaide, and the guys were given the opportunity to course correct. As they should have been given the great start to the year. However, over the past 3 weeks, it appears that we have been "worked out" and now, given numbers returning and a poor run of form, I think we'll see some matchday list turnover, and Ross will get a chance to have a good look at the list.

I didn't like what I saw yesterday, but I think it provides Ross with the opportunity to do exactly what he said, and that is to explore the limits of this list.

Apart from injuries, Lyon should just play the same team- after all, almost a 10 goal loss is a team fail and a coaching fail in not getting the team up and firing from first bounce..that's a Richo type start to games.

Jack Steele a chance to miss this week?

Membrey out for King
Sharman out for Gresham (Go with King, Caminiti and Phillipou as marking targets, Owens/Gresham as the rotating forward/mid, and Butler and Higgins as the small forwards)
Paton out for Webster
Windhager in for one of the inside mids (on the last two weeks its Ross, but Steele may not get up)
Billings in for Byrnes

This week really is must win, if he's able to I would play Steele this week then manage him against Hawks, gives him almost three weeks off including the bye.
Including yesterday, 3 out of 4 games are interstate with Hawks in between.
I'd take a win over the hawks, one win out of the 3 interstate games, one drubbing (already had that) and one competitive loss.
Better than that would be great, but that's why I don't necessarily think this week is must win.
If we lose this week, the next two will have that must win feeling for me.

I was very frustrated after our loss but after watching the press conference I’ve calmed down a bit. I trust Ross to know what he’s on about, he’s a multiple GF coach.

Saints by 23.

We are going up and will beat the Saints drum - surely we cant continue to be as bad as yesterday.

Needs to be said in his short 1 1/2 seasons at the club, every time Windhager has been asked to break the door down with peak performance at Sandringham, he has done exactly that. We get to see what sort of selection integrity we have now, because Windhager deserves to be recalled.

That's not going to take him long as its pretty thin ATM

We haven't been playing very intense footy since fitness boss Nick Walsh walked- wonder if it unsettled the playing group a bit?
I knew there had to be a reason why we couldn't pick up a football cleanly or find a target going forward!
Thank you!!!

(Don't mind me kidding...I wouldn't have a clue, obviously, but I'd be surprised! I'd think the players are so chuffed having Lenny, Harvs, Corey and Ross in charge that they wouldn't be fussed about Nick Walsh leaving. )

Crows game was f*ckin' hard to watch.

Worried about the way we've played the last few weeks, look like a completely different team to the start of the year. Cho/Ratts-esque.

Big challenge against GWS this week - you can't take any team this year as easy beats or "easier" than anyone else. The competition is as even as it's ever been in regards to a team showing up on the day. Our midfield f*kn sucks - GWS mids are talented. Tom Green to have a field day if we ain't careful.

Happy to see the King return but also wouldn't be surprised if he has a poor game due to no match fitness combined with the expectation placed on him by the football world that we've been "waiting" for our superstar forward to be considered at our "best".

Selection this week promises to be interesting. Seems like just the one forced out through injury, Membrey to be replaced by King. With Windy having a big game in the VFL and presumably Gresh available once again, it's a little tricky to guess who may go out. Probably Seb in the firing line after a pretty terrible game, Byrnes maybe another who could make way. His missed tackle on Rankine resulting in the first goal of the game was horrific and almost as damning as the first quarter clangers of bloody Seb Ross. And I get the impression the boss likes what Jimmy Webster brings so I reckon he comes in for Paton this week.

Sounds like they'll let Billings build in the VFL for a few weeks and I think they might give Bytel a full game for Sandy as well. Maybe Paton as the sub.

Paton not the greatest sub option imo.

We had an off week.
Will win these next 2 and sitting pretty at the bye.

Finals bound and we should have more firepower than we have had.
Kings good for at least 2 goals a game and with that we may have won against pies/port.
Reckon we have had at least 2 off weeks now and maybe 3 with the port game

We should win 3 out of the next 5 hopefully 4 out 5
