The barometer have no idea they are just guessing

Out Johnson, In Stokes will be the only change IMO. Bews should stay in the side
I would bring in shredder hes VFL form been good and can kick a goal drop a tall ballroom/Simpson.

Crouch>Hartung
Dunstan>Simpson via Hanley DPP to mids
JKH>R. Gray

Leaves me with only 16.6k, 10 trades, and a team that looks like:

3 solid trades there. I'd wait on Hartung though to see if he is sub Saturday night for the Hawks before pulling the trigger. Team still looks abit off the pace and with only 10 trades remaining your going to struggle to have it right with before trades either run out or become VERY low. For instance, HMac shouldn't stay your R2. Polec,Wines and Kelly all need to be upgraded in the mids(Or 2 up and 1 down?). You need a Parker/Breust/Boomer type in your fwds and your still missing another premo def. Like i said, with trades left it'll be a tight squeeze to see if you can get all of this to happen and still have a couple spare for injuries etc towards the end. Nothing wrong with this weeks trades(Love the Robbie Gray choice:thumbsu:). Goodluck this week. Post again next week and we'll talk some more...

Thanks for the ideas.

My other option would be to keep Dunstan - since his value won't drop over this round - and go HMac to Mummy or Jacobs. The only problem there is them I go this round with 19 on the field, which would mean 2 of Hartung/Lloyd/Tippet would count.

I'm at the conclusion that Polec and Langdon will be in my team until the end, or at least the finals rounds, due to some bad early strategy. Either that, or I leave myself stuffed for suspensions/injuries. I always planned on having Wines to the end, but was hoping he'd be my 5 or 6, not my 4.

Yeah good plan. I'm keeping Langdon for the long haul myself i think. I moved Polec on last week but would have liked to keep him. If by years end he is your M8/9 there's nothing wrong with that at all. I'd keep the trades you have planned, nothing wrong with them. Especially if it helps you field more this week. HMac to a true premo ruck can be a luxury trade towards the end. Fill the other gaps first

Some advice on this weeks trades??

Cutler > Bews
JKH > Selwood

Leaving my team to the below with only 10 trades left.. o_O

DEF: Swallow, McVeigh, Birchall, Bartel, Kolodjashnij, Langdon (Bews, Fuller)
MID: Ablett, Pendles, Beams, Selwood, Johnson, Watson, Murphy, Tyson (Polec, Acres)
RUC: Sandy, McEvoy (Currie, Thurlow)
FWD: Danger, Parker, Martin, Roughy, Zorko, S.Lloyd (Cameron, Ambrose)

I think my team is pretty good and will score decent for the rest of the year.. Im holding up on trades!

Obviously the Greens are locks, if no injuries
The orange i will sit back and wait n see.. could be a keeper in there (langdon, tyson... recently)
My F6 spot is my weakness, will look at upgrading that towards the later part of the season. But have some playing rookies in the fwdline for now.

Does anyone have any advice, i think ive done all i can do at this stage

Currently ranked 4929

Polec playing this week.

RUC: Sandy, McEvoy (Currie, Thurlow)

DEF: Swallow, Simpson, Murphy, Hibberd, Hanley, Suckling (Langdon, Tippett)
MID: Ablett, Pendles, Beams, Selwood, Griffen, Sloane, Rockliff, Hallahan (Taylor, Acres)
RUC: Sandy, Minson (Currie, Thurlow)
FWD: Danger, Parker, Martin, Buddy, Higgins, S.Lloyd (Cameron, Ambrose)

SO I have 14 trades left overall, one more for the week if I need it (117k in bank)

Have gone JKH > Cameron and Dunstan > Selwood this week.
Can anyone see a third trade I should try for (have considered risking Ambrose > Tex, for an extra body and maybe some big hauls)

Ranked 2,300 and want to keep rising.

Thanks.

You can probably just sit and wait for Taylor, Lloyd & co to rise a bit more. Give Tex one more before deciding on him.

Trying to decide between which forward rookie to trade in between Lennon and Cameron. Price isn't an issue am only concerned about JS at this point

Roughy out hurts - I'll be making three trades this week to field 18 players. That, and I don't have enough in the bank for one downgrade to get Selwood (unless I cull Polec, was leaning towards keeping him for last)...

JKH the only player I'm convinced on trading - bring in Cameron for him.
Undecided on who get the upgrade for Selwood... depends alot on Acres I guess...

Thoughts? :)

I'm keen on JKH -> Cameron for $$$. Want to bring Selwood in, ideally without pulling Polec (need him playing this week/ was going to leave him there until SJ comes in two rounds later to finish MID... or Jack Stevens next week). To do that, I'll need a third trade - for both the cash and an 18th player. And crossing my fingers that Cotchin plays (though I know its unlikely...)

Though I'm not sure myself, but I would have said JS fairly equal - that is, based on form. I would have thought Lennon would be pretty safe, Tigers will start focusing on blooding players when they accept finals is out for them. However, Camerons tackling pressure would have absolutely ticket the selection box for Sanderson... just needs to keep it up...

How important is it to have 18 on the field in Rd 10?

I have the opportunity to bring in Selwood and Harvey this week but it will mean I will only have 17 playing.

Of course, I can trade to ensure sufficient coverage but it will mean bringing in either Selwood or Harvey in Rd 12 at $30-$60K dearer (next week's trades are locked in).

Doing the sums it looks like I will come out out of it marginally behind on points (<50) but ahead in terms of saving cash and getting in two proven premos.

FWIW the "18th man" is Polec.

Thoughts please.

I was goint to let Dunstan get more money, maybe I will trade Dunstan to Shenton?
Cheers

Dunstan is done, taking up a lucrative MID bench spot for someone else to make you cash...

Very solid team you got going there! If you don't have to then hang onto those trades!! Come in gold later in the season when you want to sideways someone big to chase those rankings.

Team is: Simpson, Hibberd, McVeigh, Langdon, Langford, Bews (Georgiou, Aylett)
Ablett, Pendles, Beams, Watson, Goddard, Liberatore, Selwood, Polec (Acres, J.Lloyd)
Sandilands, Longer (Thurlow, King)
Dangerfield, Martin, Riewoldt, Zorko, Franklin, Parker (S.Lloyd, Ambrose)

15 trades left
Thinking of doing S.Lloyd>Cameron and Langford>D.Swallow next week.
Back line is obviously weak, and Longer needs to go (don't know why I ever jumped on him)
thoughts?

I'd be trying to upgrade Georgiou ASAP so you aren't forced to play Bews/Aylett @ D6. You can hold Lloyd and Langford a few more weeks as they have more money to make. Much money in the bank?

Bump ...

Hi All,

Hoping for wise advice from the masters..

My team is:

Swallow, Hooker, Fletcher, Burgoyne, Jaensch,
Langdon, (Tippett, Clurey)
Ablett, Pendles, Beams, Wines, Murphy, Liberatore, Polec, Kelly (Acres, Cunningham)
Sandilands, McEvoy (Thurlow, Currie)
Dangerfield, Pavlich, Zorko, Fasolo, Higgins, Taylor (S.Lloyd, Ambrose)

15 trades left. $245K in bank.

I know that my forward line is weak but am concerned about number of trades left. Not doing great this season so only going for league win.

Wanting to trade Cunningham this week and bring in FWD premo, I am thinking I have 2 options.

1. Cunningham OUT > Harvey or Breust IN (via taylor or Zorko dpp)
2. Cunningham OUT + Clurey OUT > Gray IN + downgrade currie/thurlow to $102K ruck

Which option is best or am I missing something else?
