Interesting Dunstan not mentioned as "in the mix" or in the injury report.

Over the next 2-3 games we could have all of the following back playing footy:

Carlisle
Acres
Dunstan
Bruce
Brown
Geary
Gilbert
Freeman

Could be an awful lot of competition for spots and some selection headaches after the bye!

  • Jake Lloyd, Heath Grundy, Nick Smith
  • Zak Jones, Dane Rampe, Jarrad McVeigh
  • Harry Cunningham, Luke Parker, Isaac Heeney
  • George Hewett, Ben Ronke, Will Hayward
  • Oliver Florent, Lance Franklin, Kieren Jack
  • Callum Sinclair,
  • Josh P. Kennedy,
  • Dan Hannebery
  • Gary Rohan,
  • Nic Newman,
  • Harry Marsh,
  • Ryley Stoddart

if they field a team like this again . that is only one tall forward

You could excuse the girl for being starstruck
Shes only been an ump for a few years, the AFL threw her in the deep end, because its good publicity for them having a female ump.
And now they're using her as a scapegoat..

How about the dalgeish campaigner?
I googled him hes a sandgroper, been afl ump for 10 years WAFL 10 years prior.
How about some heat on this campaigner?
Was he the one who payed nicnat mark and 50?
Need to send the most experienced umpires over for WC games form now on surely.

If we want to improve, why would be trade out one of our best players? Every club would love to have Seb running around in their midfield, why would we weaken ours by getting rid of him?

Yeah we'd be wondering how many first round picks he'd cost if he was at GWS.

We’re hoping Cameron or McCartin will be named. Need a second tall for balance.

It's funny - we conceded 100 in a game three times in the first eight weeks. Recently as backline injuries in particular have accumulated, we've conceded 100 points each of the last three weeks.

In Round 1 our back six would have been Geary, Brown, Webster, Roberton, Carlisle and Savage. This week it will be Rice, Austin, Webster, White, Marshall and Savage. The extra points is understandable.

At the other end it has simply about accuracy and better quality shots at goal - we've actually had our two leanest weeks of the year in terms of scoring shots.

For comparison, in Rounds 3 & 4 we had 41 total scoring shots for 14.27.111.
Last two weeks we had 35 scoring shots for 26.9.165.

If we can improve to 22-23 scoring shots a game and get our defence back where we need it to be (with the inclusion primarily of Carlisle) then we'll almost certainly be instantly competitive. Hickey is becoming a clearance beast and winning hitouts. Jack Steven is actually well on his way to a fourth B&F. A switched-on Sinclair is A-grade.

I think he's reverted to our old game plan and chucked out Playfair's model of a loose Carlisle and a disciplined Brown. It hasn't been working until Richo changed back under pressure to keep his job. We have been running the ball out more than reloading off Carlisle's long kicks and there is less bombing and more run and carry. Richo might only have one game plan but it's the only one that half works. Trying to be clever ****ed him up. He's a meat and potato coach who's been trying to go all quinoa and kale with smashed avocado.

This dalgeish fella is a veteran though.
And obviously a staunch west cost fan.
Shouldnt be anywhere near a west cost game.
Not even joking, I've had West Coast fans tell me this week we were hard done by, that's how blatantly obvious and ****ed they were all game.

Webster and Carlisle have been standouts for me and now with Rice , White , Austin in the team our disposal has been better and have better rebound - only if Sinclair , Steele , Phillips , Billings play well we are on our way to a few wins with the likes of Steven , Ross , Membery , Gresham finishing things off.

Interesting 22 in the original post, I have a few small reservations about a player or two named in the possible 22 for this match though.
I just get them from the AFL website from an article at the beginning of the year. Don't have the time to name the actual 22's or know enough about opposition to be able to haha. If someone really wants to I can edit it...

That's a shame. The umpires (all of them) were clearly overwhelmed by the 'noise of affirmation' at Optus - probably due to their inexperience. Wouldn't be a good feeling getting thrown to the wolves and then getting told you are back at the magoos. Hopefully she gains more from the relegation than feeling the heat from the public.
Mind you, the shaking of hands of the Eagles players may have had a bit to do with it... that's a new one.
I don’t notice her shaking hands with eagles players. That’s pathetic. Has it been big in the media? (I’m travelling atm rarely have wifi)

Prior to the season I had my top 3 in terms of natural talent ranked;
1. Billings
2. Gresh
3. Acres

Now I would definitely have Coff challenging Gresh for that number 1 mantle. From his brief exposure at AFL level so far he has shown to be a real footballer; good decision maker that oozes class. I love the fact that in his draft he played all in defence, midfield and attack, his versatility gives me great confidence that he will settle quickly at AFL level with he ability to play numerous roles.

I think you're to quick to get off the Blake and JB train.

For me at this stage it is still JB, Acres, Gresh with Coff and Hunter promising but unknown

On the saints in the mix video on the website it mentioned brown, coffield, Patton, Goddard, armitage and clavarino as in the mix. If browns fit that straight away rules out clav and Goddard so that’s down to 4. Can’t see Patton getting a game after being the carryover last week so that’s 3. Armitage surely can’t come in unless an inside mid is out so down to coffield and brown. Is out of them two for gearys spot? Unless Marshall gets omitted for Brown and coffield for geary. Funny no mention of dunstan so doesn’t looks like he’ll play
They have got to be taking the piss with their in the mix , Three tall back men when Sydney are playing short people in their forward line except for Buddy , I have said before i think Clav is gong to be a very good player but he is no where near ready yet , maybe they just mentioned him to help build up his confidence as he did show a fair bit in his last game

Straight to Gaff? Maybe? Big over balanced, stretch handshake. I actually think the player was as surprised as the viewers
Congratulating her teammates and commiserating with them that she and the other two maggots would geyt the 3,2, and 1 in Brownlow votes for the game
