I think for the remainder of the year we need to look at playing 3 tall's in the front half and 3 tall defenders in the back line because looking at the top sides they are all structured similarly and we do have decent players that can do that for us.

Need to find a way to play Battle along with Membrey and McCartin in the forward line. Membrey is more of a mid sized player and Battle has a pretty big tank on him and can be used as that Lead up type (like lynch from crows). Let Membrey and McCartin alternate between FF and CHF depending on match ups etc.

Once Carlisle is Fit i would play him as the 3rd tall with Autsin and Marshall taking the FF and CHF from the opposition. All 3 of these players are decent kicks and Carlisle would be an AA in that 3rd man up role. If one of them are out of form, then i would bring in Brown as replacement but still keep the same structure going forward. We would have enough speed with Webster/White/Rice/Savage to take the smaller types.

Our season is over and now its time to build a team/structure for next year and there is no better way than to experiment with it now. As we have seen over the last 2 years, we actually dont know what our best set up is. With this structure, it would allow Marshall to help Hickey in the ruck when he needs a rest and then Carlisle can help out Austin in the key posts and we wont lack any height in defence.

Ronke will kick another 7
He's the type of player that'l play well against us....

I dunno I have a feeling about this week, Sydney are inconsistent at the moment, if they aren't on their game and we are playing like the last two weeks, at home, their is no reason we can't give this a shake.

The absolute class of this kid, he's already clearly a level above the VFL at 18 years old

i dont say this lightly. coffield is the best talent we have on our list, bar none. head and shoulders above the rest.

Prior to the season I had my top 3 in terms of natural talent ranked;
1. Billings
2. Gresh
3. Acres

Now I would definitely have Coff challenging Gresh for that number 1 mantle. From his brief exposure at AFL level so far he has shown to be a real footballer; good decision maker that oozes class. I love the fact that in his draft he played all in defence, midfield and attack, his versatility gives me great confidence that he will settle quickly at AFL level with he ability to play numerous roles.

EVERYONE FINALLY THE AFL DID SOMETHING GOOD.

ELENI GLUFTIS has been DROPPED to the VFL
That's a shame. The umpires (all of them) were clearly overwhelmed by the 'noise of affirmation' at Optus - probably due to their inexperience. Wouldn't be a good feeling getting thrown to the wolves and then getting told you are back at the magoos. Hopefully she gains more from the relegation than feeling the heat from the public.
Mind you, the shaking of hands of the Eagles players may have had a bit to do with it... that's a new one.

He has that many elite attributes I'll add to what you said by sayingif he was playing as a full time inside mid last year he very well could have gone top 2 or even number one the midfield thing is the only stopping him at the moment and in the future.

He has elite hands
Elite kiciking
Elite decision making
Elite speed
Elite composure
Elite ability to damage other teams with his disposal as he actually cuts through defences and moves the ball forward.
Elite defensive stopping
and he's a great leader.

I was stoked to get Coff in the draft but now the time has come to play him as a mid see what he can do and he could genuinly be an elite AFL player.

Also very side note but if you ever watch Hunter Clarke look at the effort and care he puts into each handball.

I still can't forget the sight of her eagerly chasing down players at the end of the game to shake their hands. I've never seen that before.
Her teammates. She got 3 Brownlow votes. They were happy for her. BOG for WC.

You could excuse the girl for being starstruck
Shes only been an ump for a few years, the AFL threw her in the deep end, because its good publicity for them having a female ump.
And now they're using her as a scapegoat..

How about the dalgeish campaigner?
I googled him hes a sandgroper, been afl ump for 10 years WAFL 10 years prior.
How about some heat on this campaigner?
Was he the one who payed nicnat mark and 50?

On the saints in the mix video on the website it mentioned brown, coffield, Patton, Goddard, armitage and clavarino as in the mix. If browns fit that straight away rules out clav and Goddard so that’s down to 4. Can’t see Patton getting a game after being the carryover last week so that’s 3. Armitage surely can’t come in unless an inside mid is out so down to coffield and brown. Is out of them two for gearys spot? Unless Marshall gets omitted for Brown and coffield for geary. Funny no mention of dunstan so doesn’t looks like he’ll play
