Take this with a grain of salt, but I'm gonna put my tin foil hat on and say that this feels like tanking. Norf and Richmond are locks for picks 1 and 2 and St Kilda is our biggest rival for pick 3. We play them twice, and a loss in our home game against them makes it far more likely that we end up with 3.

Gaff and Sheed both in the 22 and mystery injuries to 2 of our best players that weren't on Tuesdays injury list have me turning into Chuck McGill from Better Call Saul.

I was thinking we are going the super tank and lose to North twice

Based on what I've seen in the WAFL, Trew should be starting on merit ahead of Gaff and Sheed anyway. That's before the clear priority we should have in developing youth and sidelining the players who are clearly past it.

Feels like a reversion to previous selection policies that got us in his mess to begin with. Not happy.

Gaff named on-ball is certainly underwhelming.

Reckon he can only be there to do a defensive job on J.Sinclair and Sheed can't be trusted after last week.

Guessing the plan is to lockdown Sinclair, grind J.Steele down with Yeo and Ginbey rotating, and free up Reid to burn off P.Dow/M.Windhager.

Still reckon the selection would have better balance if Trew was named in the 22 instead of Maric.

Why do we always have a late out as I get off the bus at the stadium?
So it’s your fault then…

I think I have better things to do today tbh, match committee seems far too delusional for me to waste my weekend watching Gaff get turned inside out, Sheed run up to the mark and point down the field, and Trew to sit on the bench until 5 mins to go in the fourth quarter.

omfg. Forfeit the game.

We are going to get Harley and Yeo streaming from the mid only to have our FF drop it

End this game. ****ing turd coming up ruining our long weekend

Why would Sheed suddenly play better than he has the last few weeks?
Has Gaff picked up some new speed while in the Wafl, I don't think so.
But the Williams might get on the end of a few?

Petch 2 goals on return, Harley 2 goals including goal of the round, darling 3, j Williams 1, Cripps 2, Flynn’s first eagles goal 1, chesser 1, Ryan 2 goals

Party Time

Plenty of options with silky delivery from gaff and sheed

Simpson reverting to type. When can he sacked.

Alternative theory - they showed what they could do against Melbourne and now the supertank is on.

Trew sub is a real letdown.

Best performing WAFL mid, young player, Kelly out, aaaand we unsurprisingly make him the sub to sit in the bench for 75-85% of the game.

As bad as a debutant being sub.

Should've been Sheed.
This is the Simpo decision making that so many here know and love.

If Ryan was at peak fitness he could play as a small FF. He's done it before. But these days he's just a shell of that player we once knew.

Guess its hope the land of the giants forward line can hold their marks. Woosha would love it.

Predictable but still incredibly frustrating that Trew named as the sub. Reckon the crowd will be on to Sheed/Gaff and any signs of laziness/squibishness will be called out.
