Good with me. I reckon he’d be rusty AF. Let him found touch, match fitness and confidence in the wafl instead of being a liability
I'm just here for the melts.... Buutt.... I absolutely agree.

You can be a champion all you like but you can't just switch back on the touch/match fitness/hardness etc that you'll get from a run in the magoos. He can run around, pick and choose which contests he does and doesn't go hard at, get a feel for the flight of the ball etc.
A bit of contact in particular will do him the world of good IMHO. No pleb from Subi will hurt him the bloke is a monster.

If it was his idea then he obviously doesn’t feel like he would play like he would want to. If he carves it up then great, watch out hawks.

Were they out for half the year?
Not half a year. Fyfe has probably been out close to a full year. Was injured and ruled out of the season round 12 last year, on June 6.
Next week is June 5. Touchwood, but he would return to AFL one day short of a full year out if he plays Hawthorn

I do wonder if Fyfe has some subtle concerns about injuring himself early, he'd be absolutely terrified of missing more footy after the club is doing so well again after 6 hard years in the muck.

It also kind of has the dual impact of sending a message to our playing group that JL believes they're good enough to get the job done without him, massive confidence booster in their efforts, while simultaneously telling Brisbane we can beat them with what we presently have.

Of course it could backfire, and I have no doubt this decision is partially based on our big win over the weekend - had we got spanked by 50 he'd definitely be lining up.

But..the idea of seeing Brodie one more time as our main man in the middle is going to be really exciting. He hasn't hit his ceiling yet so let him ascend even higher.

Weird. The previous fitness staff (and previous coach) would have backed in their match sim at training to be sufficient. Hope he plays forward and kicks 12

More so the season in general. We've had a great season so far without him in the midfield and only really missed him in the wet. If it's a dry game then I'm ok with him taking that extra week and I don't think he'll be the reason why we win/lose

Shit, they are racing Pure Steel at the Wyalkatchem trots!

A good anology but you’re dating yourself referring to Pure Steel, I think most on here would have no idea who/what he was. I still remember that match race against Satinover…..also my old man was born in Wyllkatchem

This is a vitally important game . We need to start planning to finish top two.
This is pretty much a 12 premiership points game with Brisbane meeting St Kilda and Melbourne in their next two games.
There is something like 12 fixtures remaining where the current top 4 play each other. Our game this week is one of them.
Nat can give us that extra edge.

It's going to be even more annoying now watching Tucker turn it over and halt momentum constantly, can he still be dropped?
Pretty sure Tucker is going to be behind Ras and Johnson soon but no one is getting dropped from that game

Under the previous fitness staff we had the worst injury/availability in the comp, not sure I would be following what they did
