Probably the worst week to have Parish, Hobbs, Draper and Setterfield out if it's a wet weather game. Rowell, Anderson and Miller are going to be a handful for our mids in those conditions. I think this is a loss.

One thing I know about the recent version of Essendon is that we can’t flick the switch.

When we beat shit teams whilst playing at their level and then come up against better opposition, we typically bring that form with us. We’ll need to flick it this week or we lose I reckon.

Mids need to lift significantly from what we’ve seen last two weeks. Suspect this is where the game will be won or lost.

Starts with Goldy who absolutely needs a spell. Bryan needs to play and he needs to ****ing compete with everything he’s got. With Setterfield, Parish and Hobbs out think we also need to look at Shiel to support Durham, Caldwell and Perkins.

If we can just break even in midfield then we should win - I’m comfortable with our forward and defensive groups relative to the Suns.

I seriously doubt he would be . Not against Kelly being out but Jones is not a wing. Just keep Heppell on a wing and play Roberts if you want Kelly out . Jones is not a wing.

Must make a statement this week. None of this getting complacent or not responding strongly after we get a few goals in front. At the monent we are pretenders and in no way are good enough for second best team in the AFL. Whatever team is selected must stand up strongly.

The concept of a danger game does not simply refer to a potential loss.

It implies both that you’re better than the opposition, and that the game is a potential loss

It needs to be a game you’re expected to win easily but which you fear you might lose, perhaps because of the way the teams match up or because the underdog is putting some form together. Regardless, danger refers to the risk of a loss against the odds.

Eg Richmond would not have seen Dreamtime as a danger game. They would have just expected to lose.

So really you probably shouldn’t say “it’s a danger game, not that we’re good”.

Starting to think Caddy might stay in given the fact 2MP will be required to spend a decent chunk of time in the ruck against Witts - give Goldy a rest and bring in Bryan. And it would be nice to give Caddy 2 or 3 games in a row anyway..
Shiel also has to pay given current list of injuries predominantly to our mids...So I'd have;-
